OOC: Notes and timeline.
Day 1: Arrived at Vanaheim Gate. Received journal. Found two new friends in Rosette Christopher and Remy.
*Journal activity: Met Fran, nearly got pulled in by Larxene, avoided that sorrow thanks to King Mickey and Timon. Was cute with Nina re:lerning to spel gud, and decided to sing the praises of voice recognition on his own journal. Inquired re:Eight Times the Trouble.
*How he can read and write (kind of) - This Pikachu has signed up for fighting tournaments back on his homeworld. As a Trainerless Pokémon, he had to sign on his own. He can write his interim 'name' - Pikachu - as well as read enough to navigate the backstage areas of the stadium nearest to him; things like "left", "exit", "rest area", and so forth.
As a Pokémon, he can actually understand whatever language Smashworld's player-understandable characters like Samus are speaking perfectly well; it's just that his vocal cords aren't equipped to let him respond in kind, not without a whole lot of persistent training. Thus, in Paixao, he "sounds out" text using his journal's text-to-speech synthesizer, hence his phonetically correct but otherwise hard-to-read writing.
