Bruce was busy at work when he got the email. Or as busy as you can be with a certain billionaire playboy hovering around ,making jokes. To be honest he had not been expecting it. It seemed like too much of a long shot. Technology like it is,the email could have been traced. Bruce would not have blamed the other man for scrubbing off the ink and heading as far away as possible.
But the ping of his new smart phone ( courtesy of Tony Stark) told him the other Bruce had a different idea. Of course when Bruce's face goes from joking around to serious Stark notices. But , he quickly brushes him off to type in a reply.

Good. Are you feeling any better?
He doesn't bother to sign it. There is nothing he has to hide behind aliases anymore.

Less angry. Not sure what happened after the running.
He leaves off the name as well. His email address is just vague enough that nobody would notice it. Nemo, from the latin for nobody, something out of a Jules Verne novel.
He doesn't really have access to a tv, not that he couldn't guess what it would show if the incident was covered. Destruction and mayhem, no doubt, unless Ross had it covered up.

Didn't want to look. Afraid someone got hurt...
Bruce backspaces that last part out. That wasn't why he was emailing.
Didn't we already go past this,B? I told you who I was whether you believe me or not is irrelevant. There has to be at least flashes of memory from before.

There can't be two of me. Or two of....him.
He can't be certain that's what he saw, but he can't discount the few flashes of memory he got afterwards. He never sees his own face in his flashbacks before, just the hands. Yet another thing to add to his recurring nightmares.
Bruce can almost feel the denial and fear coming off this email. In fact, he is feeling it. But he had seen it with his own eyes. There was no mistaking it.
The reply is awhile in coming. Bruce could explain how it happened to him, but key words like "gamma" could be traceable, you never knew who might be intercepting data online.
But he has to ask.

His stomach drops. He had been hoping that maybe..just maybe this man held the key. But no. Another dead end. Bruce almost closes the laptop right then and there. But no. There was someone else waiting for an answer too.
He's actually pacing the floor, waiting for a reply. Checking the windows for the umpteenth time even though there wasn't any way he could have been followed here.
Bruce hurries back to the computer once the message comes through...and his shoulders sag in defeat.
He types a reply.

Not much. Check the news if you are too curious ,but I don't advice it. I haven't looked and I don't plan to.
Bruce glances at the CNN link on his screen. He is almost tempted to browse it to see if the incident is covered.

I saw it with my own eyes or I wouldn't have believed it myself. I don't know how you got this way or why ,but its just the same as me.

I've done studies. It has all come to dead ends. I was hoping you did.
Then he adds as an after thought;
But it can be controlled.

I don't want to control it, I want it gone.

I'm sorry. I don't know any other way. Control is the only relief.

I keep telling myself there's a way, I just haven't found it yet.
How do you control it?
In the back of his mind, there's a nudge, like the Hulk saying he couldn't be controlled. Bruce ignores it for now.
