You know. The Kraken was the kind of animal a guy can really get behind. Huge, powerful, obviously fearsome and capable of destroying things and killing things and making a real bad name for itself.

But, what did it do instead?

It lived peacefully in our lake, in our school, harmed no-one. Not to my knowledge, at least.

So, despite it's power and obvious ability to destroy, it instead opted to live peacefully and calmly and keep to itself for the most part. If you ask me, it set a pretty good example.

And then someone not only killed it, but strung bits of it everywhere for us all to see.

Words don't really work when it comes to describin' how sick that is. Or how angry I feel about it. I'm even kinda surprised that I'm not yelling or breaking things or charging around looking for clues like I'd normally do. Maybe all that will come later. But I think, for the next hour or two at least, I'm going to pay my respects to the Lake Kraken by removing pieces of it from the light fixtures and painting frames down the dorm corridors, and maybe I'll dig a big grave for it near the lake if I can find somewhere I'm not going to sever water lines, gas mains... that kind of thing. If anyone wants to help me by cleaning pieces of it up and putting them in that grave, that would probably help the Janitorial staff and Groundskeepers a lot.

I don't know if this is connected to the human murders in the city. But I aim to find out.
