I would imagine your father just wants you to be you. 'Real' or not. If you breathe, think, and feel like a sentient being, you can't become anymore 'real' than that.

I think a son is a son is a son. A father is always proud of his son. It is not the makeup that determines the lineage, but rather the bond.

I guess, but it's just that... I wasn't really all that 'alive' before he... well, y'know, passed away.

[Caim almost says something along the lines of, "Well, if he's dead then it's a little too late to have remorse for not being 'alive'." But. He doesn't. Because that extends beyond his normal cruelty.

As there are others here who have been able to do such, they will likely come to prove themselves useful.
