And then there were two

Jul 19, 2008 02:27

Who: Dimentio, Peasley
What: While everyone else is at the bath house, the two find each other in the otherwise empty school and have a dull little chat.
When: July 15th, sometime in the day.
Where: TV lounge of some sort.
Rating: G

Dimentio: *settled onto a couch in the TV lounge, flipping through a book, feeling very at ease after his search for other people turned up to show no one left*

Peasley: *talking to himself as he wanders the halls* Haha.. perhaps I should have just stayed home a smidge longer. *hears the TV in the lounge, it's volume is low, but he peeks in*

Dimentio: *Hears Peasley's voice, but dismisses it thinking it was the television and doesn't notice Peasley*

Peasley: *unable to suppress a sound* Oh! *gets spotted* .... -ahem- A-Ahaha! If it isn't Half-and-Half.

Dimentio: *looks up and grins when he spots Peasley, shutting the book and tossing it aside* Why, hello there, Prince Peasley! I'd thought I had been left alone in this old school. *sits up straight*

Peasley: *scans the area a moment, then straightens up* I had thought the same, it seems! Schedule conflicts can be most troublesome, heheheh.

Dimentio: Indeed they are. Ahahaha, I'd have thought you would've shrugged off any appointments to accompany our dear friend, Luigi, to the bath house. Otherwise, he'd be very alone, since I heard his brother also up and left.

Peasley: *twitches a bit at his casual mention of Luigi* Ha! Royal duties must come first, as usual. Red too, hm? How saddening! At least you didn't go. I take you had engagements as well?

Dimentio: Ah, nothing urgent or important. I just wanted to pay a visit to my old stomping grounds. The idea of a school wide trip to a bath house didn't appeal to me all that much, to be honest.

Peasley: *Takes a chance and walks into the room* Aha... that is understandable. Hot water makes me a bit faint. ...Per chance, may I ask where you hail from? I am... most curious!

Dimentio: *crosses his legs, eyeing Peasley* Ohh, my birthplace has long since been destroyed. But I come from a dimension separate from this one, and separated twice more. I only visited the dimension I'm from and wandered around familiar areas, nowhere specific...

Peasley: *makes his way to the opposite and of the couch and sits as close to the end as he can* Ah, my apologies! How exciting though- An entire separate dimension! Luigi... told me of those, I believe.

Dimentio: *his smile falters a little, but remains present* Hmm, I'm sure he has. *scratches his chin*..Well, to be fair, would you mind telling me about your own origins?

Peasley: *Hesitates, unsure how much to reveal of himself, but vanity takes over* Heheheh~ *flips his hair* I have just returned from my home the Bean Bean Kingdom! One of the Mushroom Kingdoms neighbors. A lush land, if I do say so~

Dimentio: *smirks, leans on the nearby arm of the couch and inspects his nails (or gloves)* I believe I've heard of that place before. I can't confidently say I've visited, though it's possible, but I am familiar with the name.

Peasley: *plays with his hair a bit awkwardly* That's good to know! We are not the most famous, I suppose~ Good tourism however! Ah- but I shall not bore you with details.

Dimentio: *laughs* Oh yes, I'm sure you're absolutely thrilled to know that a twisted fiend like myself was swaggering about in your fair kingdom like a scheming vagabond.

Peasley: Ahaha-*nearly coughs on his laugh* ha... *clears throat* An ambassador’s reaction, I suppose! *tries not to stare at Dimentio too oddly* I've dealt with trouble more than once anyhow~

Dimentio: *cannot suppress a grin from Peasley's blatant nervousness* I'm sure you have! Every kingdom has it's problems, and I doubt yours is an exception. At least, based from what I've gleaned from passing by the numerous members of royalty at this school. So many princes and princesses here, and I a mere jester. Ahahahahaha~ Sometimes I feel as if they expect me to put on a show!

Peasley: Hahaha! Yes yes, many of my peers are of similar origin it seems. It's... comforting I admit! Heheh... perhaps you should rethink your garb, hm?

Dimentio: Oh no, I've no issues with it. I enjoy being a crowd pleaser~ And I've grown too fond of this outfit to change it now. *tugs the hem of his cloak in an almost protective way* It suits me, I think. And even if I change my comedic clothing, there isn't much I can do about my face~

Peasley: Haha, a real showman hm? The stage is valued amongst my people, believe it or not! *can't help but lean a bit for a closer look* And a mask for a face! Here I had you labeled like a villain who hides his face! I still do.

Dimentio: Ahaha, most people do! But no, this mask is as much a part of me as your own face is of you. *tugs the corner of his mask forward, his whole head moving with it, to show that it's attached*

Peasley: Most curious! Heh, then again my exotic flare gets noticed around here too~ *shines again*

Dimentio: I would imagine. Though compared to some other students, you're actually fairly normal save for your lack of certain features. *briefly rubs his nose* This is such a...Diverse school. *laughs*

Peasley: Diverse indeed! I fully enjoy it. *crosses eyes to where a nose should be* Hm, I had tried a human form for a day's time... I do not think it suited me as well. *Looks away to hide a more concentrated expression. Trying to think how to take advantage of this situation*

Dimentio: Ahh, have you? I've been discussing that subject with a trusted accomplice of mine for a while now. I'm hoping I'll get a chance to try it out for myself soon. My curiosity about the whole idea has been nagging in my skull like the incessant wailing of a wounded dog, and actual experience is the bullet I need to put it out of its misery.

Peasley: Haha, you are a curious one! It is an experience worth having, I can attest. Really though my height was the most different. I much prefer green as well! *pauses* An accomplice you say? Do you mean that mechanical fellow?

Dimentio: *hesitates*..Yes, ROB. He's become rather attached to me lately. Not that I mind, it's nice to have company that's actually willing to be with me.

Peasley: Heheheh... you imply you're not popular, eh? Perhaps ...your demeanor is intimidating! *Probably grinning a little too wide on accident*

Dimentio: No, I can't say I'm popular at all. I'm a popular target for hate, I know that much. I'm shocked I don't have a pair of burn marks in the back of my head where all the death glares are aimed at! *laughs* I've tried being polite to others, and they spit in my face. So I, of course, spit back, and before I know it, I've become a spittoon, always fighting with someone, and no sign of stopping~

Peasley: *Tries to fake concern* How unfortunate! I can't say I'm familiar with the feeling~ Haha, staying out of fights would probably do you well. Though it's a bad habit of mine.

Dimentio: *doesn't buy it, but ignores* That doesn't surprise me, after seeing how close you are with Luigi.. Ahahaha, I'm afraid I'm a little too stubborn and hot blooded to avoid a fight when it beckons.

Peasley: *shuffles uncomfortably*... ahaha, yes Greeny does appear to look up to me very much! He seems to enjoy the occasional scuffle too, it seems.. But! I can agree a good duel is hard to resist!

Dimentio: Yes he does, if the purple welt on my side is any indication. But I got him in the end. *grins*

Peasley: *tightens his grip on the arm rest* Hmf, you could say that! It was... quite a match, yes! You were rather eager to face him it seems.

Dimentio: Well, I can't deny I had a bit of a grudge against him after his brother killed me. Noo, Luigi was actually very helpful to me for a while. But he was also insolent, and aided in my defeat. And he didn't exactly give me a warm welcome when he found I was still alive..

Peasley: *tilts his head, confused by what he meant by "helpful"* Oh my! Quite the makings of a real tale! A complex web! *avoids the subject of Luigi* I've heard you and Red were at odds.. amazing, coming back to life. How did you manage it?

Dimentio: *brightens up a little* Ahh, it was a fine show of my own cleverness~ I spoke with the Queen of the Underworld herself, and convinced her that I was not meant to have my game ended so early. I can't give precise details, but all that's important is that I gave Death a kiss goodbye and leapt back into the realm of the living! If I hadn't been thinking quickly, I'd be another lost soul haunting the depths of the river Twigz. A very macabre fate for such a light hearted chap like myself, wouldn't you say?

Peasley: A- Amazing! Truly! *Leans in with his hands on his knees*  I've heard from... others, tales of death and it is quite fascinating! *lowers eyebrows a bit* Can I ask... why you so invoked your own death at dear Mustache's hands, perhaps? It must be... quite a story.

Dimentio: Ahahaha, The yeti lip and I had...clashing ideals, and it resulted in a nasty conflict. One so terrible, and unfair, that it lead to my demise. But I took advantage of this to attempt a new start at life. *actually FROWNS ohgod* He and his brother aren't making that easy for me.

Peasley: *sits up more defensively* Well, heh... I'm sure they have their reasons. Don't you think?

Dimentio: Of course they had reasons. I'd think even they could see that it's very stupid to attack me without reason. *laughs*

Peasley: Heh.. makes sense. *sits and fiddles with his hair more, glancing back at Dimentio every few seconds*

Dimentio: *nods and stares at the TV for a while in silence, actually watching Peasley out of the corner of his eye* ... You keep looking at me. Is there something you wanted to talk to me about, or are you just speaking to me to stave off loneliness?

Peasley: Ahaha! No, no. I was... admiring your hat! it has a pleasant sheen to it I have not quite seen before!

Dimentio: *quirks an eyebrow, inwardly taken aback by the compliment* Oh...Thank you. *tugs on one of the diamonds at the end of one of his hat horns, examines it* It's made of some odd material, I can't recall where I got this. I've had it as long as I can remember.

Peasley: Fascinating! *tries to keep up conversation* A fellow like yourself must enjoy standing out! Haha, I can relate!

Dimentio: Mmyes, though I'd hate to sound like a teenage cliché, I try to stand out and avoid conformity. Not entirely on purpose, mind you. Sometimes it can't be helped, standing out. I'm sure you stand out, especially with that sparkling head of hair... That must take a lot of effort to accomplish that amount of shine.

Peasley: *perks up* Ahahah~! So you noticed, no doubt? I too work to stand out, you are right in assuming many hours go into my 'do, heheh. One of my prized features, really! *shine*

Dimentio: *squints from the shine* Very dazzling! Almost supernatural, that effect. Ahahaha, you should consider yourself lucky to even have hair, let alone such lustrous locks.

Peasley: Heheheh, one of my many skills! I have the best in my kingdom, according to popular vote~ But- I do ramble on. If your envy is as green as my own visage, perhaps you should consider a human form, haha! maybe your powers would lessen too.

Dimentio: I've been considering it, my only problem is finding the means to go about it. I plan on meeting with ROB eventually to try it out with one of those orbs. Getting a hold of one shouldn't be an issue. I'm only concerned it'll weaken me.

Peasley: I found my strength to be rather un-changed! I have a theory... that perhaps only those pokemon are affected. I've sat in on a few of the classes myself, many of the seniors are willing to tutor!

Dimentio: That does seem logical. I can't see why my powers would weaken, since they aren't connected to any physical attribute of mine, but it's still something I'd need to consider... This talk about it is making me impatient!  *laughs* I'll have to try it out posthaste, once ROB returns.

Peasley: It would be a concern, I never did have time to test. ...But! Who can know, hm? I too would be curious to see Stripes with a head of hair. Maybe you'll have good luck and obtain silky strands like mine~

Dimentio: *ponders, begins laughing* That's an odd image to grasp. *scratches the back of his head* Odd to imagine feeling, too! It'd be a very notable experience, to be sure.

Peasley: *grins* I shall look forward to it then, haha! *hairflip*

Dimentio: Ahahaha, to see everyone's reaction. The little masked devil they all know and love to be turned into such a commonplace and absurd creature as a human. Eyebrows will raise like flocks of startled pigeons!

Peasley: Hahaha! I got a reaction similar, that is for sure! Maybe the peach hue will suit you better than it did me. Not that I was any less stunning~ Humans are rather interesting really.

Dimentio: Hmm... *removes his gloves to examine his hands, one is milky white, while the other is jet black* I don't think I'd enjoy forfeiting my classy colors for a silly shade of pink all over. *chuckles*

Peasley: I suppose I'll have to agree with you there, my high contrast friend, haha! We must take pride in our unique qualities... for sure!

Dimentio: *puts his gloves back on* Yes! And hopefully I'll make a unique human. *stands* I think I'll be going. I want to get a hold of one of those transformation orbs while I can, without others about to hinder me. *turns to Peasley, grins* I appreciate your company, Peasley. Thank you for the chat. It was rather entertaining~

Peasley: *stands up almost defensively as Dimentio does, still smiling though* Yes, I enjoyed this exchange as well, heheheh. Do give my regards to your robot friend!

Dimentio: I shall~ *gives Peasley a little "tip of the hat" gesture* Ciao! *vanishes*

Peasley: ... Most peculiar. *flips back his hair and walks out*
