Characters: Luigi, Peasley
What: Because 2 days was so freaking hard, Luigi invites Peasley over, and gay ensues, as usual, but this time with a pay off, I promise.
Where: Mario Bros dorm
When: Backdated Monday July 14th, night
Rating: G, very very fluffy.
Notes: Pimmy and I started this Yesterday I think when there was still a lot of crap going on at the springs, so we just did it over AIM, writing it as if they were LiveJournal tags, SO under the cut is that chat log. Usually people'd remove the names of who wrote what but I find it easier this way. Plus I wanna take credit for all the saccharine crap floating around in there. God, barf.
It's fairly long (sorry I write a lot D:) and I went through and spell checked but didn't proof read (I NEED TO BED) so honestly there's gonna be like a lot of typos. I might go through and edit more tomorrow but . . . mehhh you guys can live with it I think. If it seems like there's a passage missing drop a comment, but I think it's all there. And uh well feel free to comment if you want, as well, in general.
LUIGI: Luigi and the others had returned to the school by nighttime. It wasn't that late, but everyone was pretty much exhausted from the trip, it wasn't as relaxing as everyone thought it was going to be. Especially Luigi, who thought without Mario or Peasley being there he was going to be alone and bored witless, but was instead roped into taking care of 3 children at random times of the trip.
He almost wanted to just go to bed and sleep it off, but he came home to a message from Mario that he was going to be out longer than expected. He sat on his couch for a time, staring at Stanley, who seemed in good spirits after the trip, before getting up to make a phone call to Peasley's dorm.
Peasley was happy to hear from Luigi, but Luigi didn't just want to talk over the phone, so hesitantly he asked if Peasley wanted to come over, if he wasn't tired or busy?, and . . . hang out? watch a movie? do whatever?
Peasley said of course, and now Luigi waited, feeling nervous for some reason about his friend coming in.
PEASLEY: Peasley knocked on the door. It was nice to finally have some more company other than Dimentio, (which he wouldn't be mentioning to Luigi) even though it had only really been a day. Luigi had mentioned Mario was out... he had expressed disappointment over the phone, but it was more of a relief. He enjoyed time alone with Luigi, he felt more and more like he could truly be honest around him. Peasley was anxious to hear about the bath trip and any adventures that would obviously have come about for him!
Within a few seconds, he could hear Luigi's muffled voice shouting something, and the door opened in front of him.
LUIGI: Barely containing excitement, Luigi swung open to great Peasley with a large smile on his face. "I'm-a so glad to see you!" Luigi said, perhaps a little too enthusiastically. He stepped aside and gestured the prince to step in. He was glad to see that Peasley seemed just about as happy to see him as he was him.
He eagerly shuffled him to the couch, sitting him down in the center of the soda, the table already had necessities like drinks and snacks in case the prince wanted anything. Stanley sat in the middle of it all, trying to get into a soda.
LUIGI: "So you-a want to watch a movie, Peasley?" he kept smiling, "Or did you wanna talk first? You-a wanted to hear about the trips?"
PEASLEY: "Oh you MUST tell me about your bath house exploits!" Peasley cantered across the room and flopped down on the couch, in the most graceful way, of course. He adjusted his tunic as though it were a skirt, even though he was wearing the uniform pants, then looked up at Luigi with eager eyes. "I'm sure it was most exciting!"
LUIGI: Luigi sat down beside him on the couch, hands in his lap. Usually thinking back to his adventures at the spring it caused him slight headaches, but Peasley's eagerness to hear them made it somehow more exciting for Luigi to tell them. He told about Bowser, Jr, about the springs and how he had to take care of little kid versions of the teachers and how the teachers still WERE young.
PEASLEY: Peasley was absolutely fascinated, giving commentary where needed, with many "Oh!"s and "You don't say!"s thrown in. When Luigi finally ran out of things to say, he spoke up. "Still as children hm? Haha! A good hit with a hammer won't cure that I suppose!" He laughed and started scoping out the snacks. "But now! I say it's time to unwind, we've both had tiring weekends, I'm sure."
LUIGI: Luigi stood back up, pleased by Peasley's reception of his story. "I-a would ask about YOUR weekend, but I-a can only imagine how mind boggling boring your time was." He stopped at the meager collection of movies the Mario Bros kept on a small shelf by their small, shabby TV, staring at in with a disappointed air that he didn't have the best choice of movies, and he honestly had no idea what the prince would like. "Do . . . do you like cartoons?" he asked hopefully, knowing he had a movie that was more fantasy with a hero going about doing heroic deeds, which seemed probably in Peasley's tastes, whether or not it was animated.
PEASLEY: "Oh cartoons! A trip to our childhoods, perhaps? Sounds delightful~!" the prince flung his hair back and scooted back into the couch in anticipation. When Luigi had pulled the proper movie from the shelf, he patted the cushion next to him.
LUIGI: He turned on the movie and went to shut off the lights, saying apologetically, "We-a don't have many movies . . . Mario likes-a action movies with-a lot of explosions . . . Luigi not-a so much." He went back to the sofa where Peasley was smiling up at him and patting the spot beside him. He grinned nervously and sat down near him, leaning back against the cushions and propping his shoeless feet on the table in front of him, hands laying limply beside him on the cushions. "I-a really hope you don't mind cartoons . . . they can be childish, I know," he finished lamely.
PEASLEY: "Oh pish-posh!" Peasley waved his hand in Luigi's face in a "shoo" motion. "Any cartoon that catches Luigi's fancy is a fine cartoon by me!" He motioned at the screen, "Now! Start the movie, or I'll grow impatient." He crossed his arms, though still kept that usual haughty expression.
LUIGI: Luigi chuckled at his behavior, and reached for the remote, turning on the DVD before reclining back into the same position. He snuck a couple of glances at Peasley from the corner of his eye as the prince watched the screen with interest as the cartoon started up, full of lively colors and admittedly very nice music. Luigi smiled and relaxed, glad to see that Peasley actually was fine with it. He was always afraid that the two of them were too far apart with their social status to truly be so close, but Peasley proved time and again more than willing to try new things, and wasn't even forcing himself to do them, just because Luigi was doing them, too, and Luigi loved that trait about him.
PEASLEY: They both watched the movie contently, with Peasley occasionally commenting on a funny line or anything else that would catch his fancy. He had a habit of poking Luigi on the shoulder and pointing out little details. Eventually towards the end he had settled down to just quietly paying attention. Well, maybe only mostly attention. Occasionally he would glance over at Luigi, who was looking relaxed. Good, he tended to seem on edge, it's unhealthy to remain stressed so often! He smiled to himself at those times, all the time he had been spending with Luigi now was just so rewarding. Things were always exciting with Greeny!
LUIGI: It was a great time, he felt all the stresses of the trip melt away as the movie passed, with every jab of Peasley's elbow, with every excited exclamation. Peasley calmed down as the movie approached, and Luigi's mind began to wander away from the movie to just being here with Peasley. They seemed to be spending more and more time together, and it made Luigi all the more happy. He just wished his life otherwise hadn't become so chaotic as well, so he could just enjoy these times.
Glancing briefly aside to look at Peasley yet again, he noticed his hand sitting on the cushions beside his legs, Luigi's hand resting so very close as well. Luigi argued with himself for a bit, staring wide eyed at the screen, but despite all the misgivings his mind was trying to shoot out, Luigi found his hand inching toward Peasley's hand. Softly, some of his fingers slide on top of Peasley's hand. Not fully, he was too nervous to, but a few fingers on Peasley's hand was an accomplishment to Luigi.
PEASLEY: Oh- Luigi's hand has brushed against mine again. He grabbed Luigi's, almost too quickly, in his own. He squeezed Luigi's hand as he did this, as though it was a playful scold for being hesitant. Was it a reflex to have done that? The prince had come to rather enjoy the way they would hold hands on occasion. Something between them that no one else had. Perhaps it was just an automatic reaction... he liked feeling that connection with his friend.
He looked over at Luigi. "Heheheh, if you are so eager to join hands with me, why not ask?" He asked this in a lofty voice, to lighten the mood. Can't have things being too awkward.
Peasley got affectionate attention from others all the time. Yet, the thought of Luigi wanting to be close had grown from something 'same-old' to something... with a bit more meaning, it felt. He brushed the thought off. Of course he would want to hold hands, who wouldn't? It was common now anyhow. His thoughts trailed off as he payed closer attention to the feeling of Luigi's fingers trapped in his own.
LUIGI: Luigi was surprised by Peasley's quick reaction of grabbing his hand. He was shocked enough to turn and gawk at Peasley, as if silently asking, "What? Really? Why??"
When Peasley asked him why he didn't just ask, Luigi was sure all the blood in his body shot too his face. Why was he being so blunt all of a sudden?? Not . . . not that it wasn't good, it meant . . . it meant he liked it, too, and that's what Luigi was dying to hear from the prince.
"I . . . I never did because I . . . wasn't sure if you would want me to," he answered softly, being serious despite the tone Peasley was trying to use.
He watched, heart thumping, as Peasley regarded their hands, his hand squeezing his own, as if testing the feel of them. Luigi didn't know if he was embarrassed or elated.
PEASLEY: "Ha, I suppose that's a valid reason!" He wondered if he should reply farther. "Well, heheh, I suppose you have your answer! ...Oh look! The fight is reaching its climax!" Peasley turned his attention towards the TV again.
LUIGI: Luigi couldn't stop his face from breaking out in a huge smile, and slowly he turned to face the TV, although his mind wasn't on the show at all. He had seen this movie dozens of times, so it wasn't like it mattered. Instead, he just paid attention to Peasley's hand as he squeezed his hand, sometimes because something exciting was happening on screen and it was a reflexive movement, and sometimes because Luigi supposed he just wanted to. Luigi gripped tight back to at random moments, twining their fingers and sometimes moving his thumb against Peasley's hand. It was a most amazing feeling.
PEASLEY: The movie was coming to a close, but Peasley didn't show any sign of moving from his position. He reached out for a chip... then stopped. After a moment of what looked like thought, he sighed. "Hmph! These greasy things are dirtying my gloves." He shook his fingers as though there was dirt on them. Closing his eyes in a very deliberate expression, he removed his hand from Luigi's to take off his glove. "Ah, much better~" He mused, removing the second one. He clasped his freed hands together and stretched, then returned to his original position, hand falling atop Luigi's again. A finger slid on the fabric of Luigi's own glove, feeling it clearly for the first time.
He turned his head back to the movie as though it were nothing. He felt... perhaps more physical contact would be more appropriate. Luigi should get the hint, yes.
LUIGI: Luigi got the hint, albeit in a flustered manner. He slowly pulled his hand away and began to remove his own cloves as he muttered what sounded like, "Greasy, yeah . . . me, too . . ." He leaned forward to toss them neatly onto the table and sat back again, more confidently place his back into Peasley's grip.
The feeling of holding his hand was astoundingly better now. He could feel the smoothness of his hands, of his finders as they twined with his own slightly calloused ones. Luigi wore his gloves all the time but his hands still were marred by work, what did Peasley do to keep his own like this? He resumed rubbing his thumb along Peasley's hand, but lightly, shyly, almost afraid that the feel of his calloused hands would make Peasley pull away.
PEASLEY: Peasley smiled to himself as Luigi fumbled with his own gloves and so.. almost confidently placed his hand back on his own. Much better. Luigi's hand was like that of a real heroes, he thought. Strong and toughened from work. He liked the feeling of the light 'massage' he was getting, a simple gesture... what kind of affection was being displayed? Or perhaps it was just idle fidgeting. Not that he thought Luigi could resist his well-lotioned skin.
The credits had long since rolled, but Peasley didn't feel like moving. It had been a long day... of course it was relaxing just to sit. He closed his eyes and laid his head back, letting out a heavy sigh.
LUIGI: The DVD rolled back to the menu, shining light on Peasley's face as he leaned back heavily on the couch, sighing wearily. Luigi stared for a moment at his calm face in the blue light, then momentarily felt guilty as he glanced at a clock with glowing numbers, realising that it was late at night and the prince may have wanted to be asleep before now.
He squeezed Peasley's hand hard to bring his attention to Luigi, and he asked nervously, "Are you-a tired? . . . You-a can . . . stay here. Since Mario isn't here, it-a wouldn't be a bother.
PEASLEY:: Peasley's eyes jerked open as he felt Luigi squeeze his hand. Shaking his head a bit and gauging his current condition, he pondered Luigi's proposal. He WAS rather tired... but it wasn't like his own dorm was far either. Sitting up straighter, he removed his hand from Luigi's and smoothed out his hair. Oh, his hand felt cold now. Then it was decided.
"Heheheh... how thoughtful of you, Green!" He stretched and slowly rose to his feet. "Are you tired as well? Ha! It's like we are but two young boys spending the night! How quaint~"
Nothing harmful about a friendly sleepover. A chance for even more bonding... how perfect.
LUIGI: "I'm-a very tired . . ." Luigi conceded, punctuating this with a huge yawn, "I-a think I can sleep through all of tomorrow." His heart was beating fast, though really it shouldn't seeing as he had been offering Peasley Mario's bed, nothing wrong with that. It may be in the same room and everything, but it was still apart--he mentally told himself to knock it off. "Hmm, you can wear some of my pajamas if you want?" he offered, ever the polite host, gesturing for Peasley to follow him into the bedroom.
PEASLEY:: "Then we shall turn in for the night!" He announced decidedly, lifting a green finger in the air. Peasley walked into the room as Luigi offered him some nightwear, looking about as though he was scrutinizing the layout.
"Perfect! Thank you for the generosity, I do dislike being a bother..." Though he was already rummaging through drawers as he said this, despite having no idea where Luigi kept his pajamas. Finally he stumbled upon some loose, green striped garments stowed by the bed.
LUIGI: Luigi winced a little as Peasley disorganised his drawers searching for a set of pyjamas, but let him have his fun, anyway. Peasley could get away with just about anything as far as Luigi was concerned. After Peasley found some, Luigi grabbed a solid green set from the same drawer for himself.
That's when he realised they would actually need to change into them, and he went a little pink in the face. "Uh . . . if-if you'a want you can change in the bathroom . . ." he offered, "More private there, I-a can change in here . . ."
PEASLEY:: "Oh, of course of course!" He agreed and made his way to the bathroom, shutting the door. "I'll only take but a moment!"
Peasley noticed Luigi's pajamas were very soft, different from the smooth silk kind he usually wore, and certainly better than the stiff fabric of the school's uniform. Luigi wore these many times, didn't he? He was almost tempted to hug himself just to enjoy the feeling... of the cotton, of course. -Ah, better not keep Greeny waiting.-
LUIGI: Luigi was finishing buttoning up his shirt when Peasley came back in, and Luigi tried to stifle a chuckle at seeing the prince in his pyjamas. They were just slightly bigger, big enough that the cuffs hung cutely over his hands and the pants bunched around his ankles. "Looking good," he told him with humour as he topped off the last button.
He went to his bed, the one obviously with the green bedclothes, and pulled the covers down, sliding in and laying flat on his back, sighing as he went as if sinking into a warm bath. He closed his eyes in happiness, smiling, "Nothing like-a your own bed~ Especially with no bratty li'l kids around you. Do you-a mind getting the lights?" he asked Peasley, who was still standing.
PEASLEY:: "Hahaha~ I think the green suits me!" He struck a bit of a pose, then couldn't hold back a yawn. He watched Luigi climb into bed and nodded when he told him to get the lights. He flicked them off and the room was completely dark except for the moonlight coming in through the window. Peasley blinked a few times and let his eyes adjust. Across the room was Mario's bed, neatly made as it had been when he left. It'd be a shame to muss it up, and especially rude to sleep in another's bed without proper permission! ... He felt cold, too.
Peasley turned towards Luigi's bed and stopped right beside it. "Scootch, please!"
LUIGI: Luigi's eyes shot open at Peasley's command, and he looked up at the prince standing over him, smiling expectantly. Unthinking, he did as he was told silently, sliding over to the other side of his bed. He really wanted to ask WHY but the words weren't coming out, his throat suddenly too tight with nervousness to actually utter a word.
Was he seriously going to get into the same bed as him? Luigi hadn't meant to insinuate anything!... Luigi should stop him, tell him to use Mario's, this can't be good, handholding alone was probably pushing it, but sharing a bed?...
Despite all the protests lodged by his brain, Luigi made no motion to stop Peasley.
PEASLEY:: "Heheh, thank you Luigi~" He said this honestly as he crawled onto the bed, getting uncomfortably close as he shuffled to get comfortable and turned around to lay on his back as well. the fit was a bit tight, but nothing too squished that he felt he wouldn't be able to sleep. He pulled the covers up and turned his head towards Luigi. "There! This should work out nicely."
He thought to himself this might look odd to an outsider, but that didn't really matter. It was nice to just do as he felt without thinking too much about it or the consequences. Luigi was breathing oddly strange. Heavy and nervous... it was cute. Cute? He hadn't thought of using that word for Luigi often. He was admirable, tall, handsome... green... of course. But cute? Well, he supposed so. It was a fitting description as well.
LUIGI: Luigi nervously held the covers up to his chin, grinning at the prince's words despite his misgivings about the situation. Trying to be good natured about it to hide his nerves, he said, "Haha, I-a haven't shared a bed since bro and I were-a little! It is kinda fun . . ."
On one side he was centimeters from falling off the bed, and the other he could feel Peasley's arm and leg brushing against his own. He found himself rolling onto his side to escape the danger of falling off and touching Peasley too much, but realised to late he probably should have turned to face away from Peasley, not in the direction that he could face him directly. He now could see Peasley's face clearly, as he kept smiling guilelessly at him almost like this was a fun little sleepover for him. If Luigi were to suddenly turn over to his other side it would probably seem insulting, right? He couldn't risk that, so he adjusted to be warmer under the covers and smiled absently back at Peasley, really just happy to be with him, no matter the awkward circumstance.
PEASLEY: "Haha, yes! I cannot remember the last time.." Peasley trailed off a bit, seemingly lost in thought. Or maybe he was just sleepy. Luigi had turned around to face him, and this even surprised him a bit. He felt awkward having to turn his head to look back at Luigi, so he rolled over on his side as well, nearly bumping into Luigi before scootching back some.
PEASLEY: They were silent for a while, Peasley just felt like enjoying the moment, but he could never stay quiet for long. There was really only one thing he could think to say though.
"Heh... I missed you, Luigi." His wide smile shrunk, but it was a more real smile, his eyes only slightly open in a content way.
LUIGI: Luigi's eyes widened for a moment, then smiled sheepishly, wondering when there was going to be a time he wasn't blushing at Peasley in someway. He loved that look on Peasley, it seemed more natural, and so far he seemed to have only really shown it in his presence, made him feel special. "I-a missed you, too . . . It-a was only 2 days but I-a couldn't stop thinking it was very lonely without you there."
He watched Peasley for some seconds, content, until he remembered something he had somehow spaced, "Oh! I-a got you a gift!" He laughed awkwardly, "It's-a nothing much, just a cheesy gift shop thing . . . but it's a geode. It's-a blue and sparkling . . . thought you mighta liked it . . ."
PEASLEY: Lonely huh...? Peasley was never too familiar with that feeling, at least until he had met the Marios, more so when he came to this school and met so many friends... and the most so when it involved Luigi. He didn't like it, it was like when he let go of Luigi's hand... cold, like something was missing. This thought made him want to hold it again. Maybe he would.
"Oh! a souvenir! Thank you Luigi, I appreciate the thought!" He now took the initiative to grab Luigi's hand now, finding it under the covers and holding on, as though to add to his thanks. "I do like sparkling things~ heheh."
LUIGI: Luigi found it wasn't as surprising now when Peasley grabbed his hand, but his heart still leapt up and beat crazily faster. Feeling much more confident in the area of holding hands, Luigi reached with his other hand to hold Peasley's hand that was holding his own, effectively trapping it between both appendages. He decided, quite bravely he though, to take it further by pulling Peasley's hand toward him, holding it just below his chin. "I-a figured you'd likee a geode more than a badly printed t-shirt or a tie," he chuckled, pleased Peasley was happy for his gift. "Don't-a forget to take it in the-a morning," he said absently as he focused more on squeezing Peasley's hand than on what he was saying.
PEASLEY: "I will be sure to." He spoke quietly, obviously paying more attention to their hands as well. This was surely an interesting situation they were in, he couldn't help but muse about it, the two of them being so close right now. Perhaps others would think it improper! But he could feel Luigi's warmth from where he held his hand, it was nice, and he decided that was just fine. He really did enjoy such a close friendship, it was such an honor... one could think.
...friendship. His eyes moved back up to Luigi's. That is how he thought of ol' Greeny, right? A friend he wished he could keep forever, a friend he wished he could... Ha, how he kept saying such things to himself, always having to reassure such thoughts. He knew he knew why he did that, but would never openly think it. It was silly musings anyway, idle fluff he would rather not acknowledge. But the prince was also stubborn, and preferred to do as he pleased.
Peasley squirmed and moved himself closer to Luigi, nearly coming in contact but not quite, his face only a few inches from the other's.
LUIGI: Luigi wiggled just slight as Peasley moved closer to him, a little nervous but beyond happy that Peasley was coming so close to him. He wish he was brave enough to do things like that. How many times had he wanted to hold his hand, hug him, just in general be near him in some way that suggested more than just mere friendship, but was just too cowardly to do so? Mostly he just feared the rejection, afraid of losing Peasley as a friend, but now that Peasley seemed to be reciprocating his feelings Luigi was feeling more courageous. He still didn't want to assume too much, he didn't want to even come out and ask outright what Peasley wanted from him, how he felt about him, for fear of breaking "the moment."
Instead, he just scooted the tiniest bit closer too, not a lot but just enough Peasley wouldn't think he didn't like the close proximity. He looked down into Peasley's eyes, even in the dark he could still see that shine of yellow. "You okee?" he asked softly, trying to think of an excuse to justify their closeness, "Cold or?..."
PEASLEY: "I'm... just fine, thank you for asking." His usual politeness still ever present, his voice was softer still. This was the closest they have been yet, it seemed. He could feel Luigi's breath, and it was near impossible at this range not to be looking into his eyes. He felt... he could stay like this forever, if he could.
When Peasley had been taking care of duties back at home, it had been difficult to concentrate, for he couldn't seem to stop thinking about meeting Luigi again. It had only been a couple of days... why did it feel like so long? He became aware again of Luigi's hands clasping his. Odd, and there was that feeling in his chest again. That uncomfortable anxiousness, it was troublesome, yet pleasant somehow... it made him want to do silly things. He knew what it was. Ever since he had met with his friend again here, he knew what it was. Was he avoiding the thought out of pride? Something else? Simply because something like this was FAR from proper?
Ah. Too much thinking again. That's what was the most troublesome. He really would rather just be selfish without having to think too much, apologies to Greeny. He moved his face closer, so close... right where he liked to be.
LUIGI: Luigi didn't know how much harder his heart could beat before it finally wore out and he died, though he was so happy then that could possibly die right then and be okay with it. A comfortable silence had fallen between them again, nothing awkward about it. It was almost like something natural, a moment that both of their lives was naturally leading up to, and all of Luigi's notions on whether or not it was proper for him to be so close to the prince had fled his mind. He was probably smiling like a complete dope but he was fine with that.
Then, he slid closer . . . The arms were pressed between their bodies, Peasley's hand held against Luigi's chest now. Without thinking, Luigi pushed in a little closer too, their knees coming in contact. Peasley's face was so close to his own, all Luigi could seem to see, or at least focus on, were his eyes. They were so warm right now, alive with emotion, that Luigi couldn't help that his head moved in closer, his lips inching agonizingly closer. He knew he wanted to, he really wanted to so badly, even just brush his lips against his. Peasley was still watching him, looking into his eyes expectantly, smiling even more so, egging him on. He moved in, but hesitated, unsure if it was too forward, instead he gazed back at Peasley, hoping his eyes conveyed his indecisiveness about continuing on.
PEASLEY: Peasley's smile slowly faded as the distance between them grew to it's thinnest. It may have been the tension, or perhaps there was not a lot of need to smile so close, when his eyes were most likely expressing any needed emotion. He caught Luigi's gaze flick downward a moment, then back to his eyes again. Heh, how obvious of him. Peasley was decided now. Besides, what a more fitting end to a pleasant moment such as this? Anything else would be unacceptable. He admitted defeat to himself.
Luigi's breath was so quick, his heart... he could feel it beating rapidly underneath the soft fabric where his hand was being pressed. He adjusted in Luigi's grip to press it against his chest like he had before. He wanted to see maybe if he could feel it skip when...
He closed his eyes, and those last few centimeters between them. Slowly, so not to make Luigi too nervous hopefully. Heh... could not excuse this like hand holding.
LUIGI: Luigi wondered briefly why Peasley had his hand pressed flat against his chest, not that he was going to voice it out loud, any touch felt wonderful to him, and his hands laid flat over Peasley's hand.
Compared to Luigi, Peasley seemed the picture of calm, but he noticed his breathing was starting to be a bit faster, even his face was a little flushed. It went even a little redder as he closed in....
His eyes fluttered open in the shock of the kiss, his breath stopped, and his heart did indeed skip, then beat furiously. His shock soon wore off, though, as he realised this was just what he had been waiting for for awhile now, that there was no way this wasn't supposed to happen, and he shouldn't be surprised or scared about it anymore. His eyes closed half lidded, almost shut but still open enough to see Peasley, not wanting to miss out on anything. His hands tightened over Peasley's as he pushed in closer, putting a bit more pressure into the kiss to tell Peasley that he wanted this.
PEASLEY: Peasley almost had to suppress a smile when he felt Luigi flinch a bit as their lips came in contact. Mustn't ruin the moment... Though, it couldn't be helped when Luigi pressed closer, whatever doubts he could he possibly felt, if any, were gone now. The corners of his mouth twitched and he cracked a small grin that Luigi could most likely feel. He thought to himself, finally, that this was just fine... and he would not mind if it continued.
He pressed his hands against his chest more, and they stayed like that for some moments until Peasley pulled back, but only just enough to part them, no further. Opening his eyes slightly, his smile grew even wider, and he spoke in a soft voice that seemed to have no hint of fluff or mannerly overtones in it. Well, except for the slight giggle.
"Your mustache feels strange, heh"
LUIGI: Luigi did feel the smile break on Peasley's face, but seeing as he didn't break the kiss laughing and saying he had pulled the best joke ever Luigi wasn't put off by it. In fact, he felt himself give a small smile in return as he squeezed Peasley's hands. The kiss was simple and totally chaste, but Luigi didn't think it could ever get better than this, and he almost wished time would just stop right then, leaving them in this innocent embrace for ages. He settled for just making it last as long as he could.
Peasley was the first to break the embrace, and they smiled dopey at each other for some seconds, both unsure about what to say now. It wasn't so much awkward as much as what could they say to this other than just smile? But Peasley felt the need to speak anyway, and mentioned his moustache. His smile fell in panic, as one hand shot up to it, "I'm-a sorry!" he whispered, not wanting to completely ruin the nice hush that they had had in the bedroom. "Did it-a bother you?"
PEASLEY: He giggled and shook his head, lightly taking Luigi's hand and guiding it back down. "Not at all, dear Greeny. I rather like it." His smile could have sparkled, perhaps even literally if it wasn't so dark, who knows. Luigi was... so funny. He felt there could never be a time when he would not make him smile. He stared for a moment, then let his face fall a little in thought, removing his hands from Luigi's.
"Luigi..." Not completely sure what he was trying to say, he slid his arms around the other's waist anyway, pulling him just a bit closer. "I- ..." He wasn't used to not having anything to say. He put on that cocky grin again, just for the comfort-zone effect of it, and tightened his grip. "Would you mind if we did that again?"
LUIGI: "I'm-a glad it doesn't bother you then . . ." he replied about his moustache.
In response to Peasley's arms sliding about his waist, Luigi's arms gently circled around Peasley's neck, one hand resting on his head, the fingers brushing into the hair. It was as soft as Luigi, and possibly many others, had imagined it to be, so fine and silky. The fact he was able to do this made him shiver quickly in happiness. 'Please,' he pleaded silently to whoever was listening, 'please let me be able to do this again.'
When he began to speak to him, he stared at him curiously, wondering what he was trying to say, until he asked if he minded they kiss again. He smiled in amusement, "Of course not!" This time he was the one to lean in and make contact--not that he did it as confidently as Peasley had, but still, he was making an effort. His arms tightened, and his hand tangled in the silky hair a bit more, as he pressed his lips to Peasley's, enjoying the kiss just as much the second time around.
PEASLEY: Peasley hugged tighter still as Luigi kissed him, this gesture of shared feelings getting him caught up in the moment. They held this for longer than the first, embracing there in that dark room. Every passing moment Peasley thinking to himself more and more, that he really loved being with Luigi. He really loved his company. He really loved... him. Yes, that was acceptable. And if he loved him, he would have him for himself and not let him out of his arms. Not tonight, not ever... he had sort of promised something similar anyway.
LUIGI: Their embrace was possibly as tight as it could get without crushing one another, but he wished he could somehow hold on even tighter. He could even feel Peasley's heart beating, it made Luigi feel light headed and dazed, as if this all had to be a dream. Was he going to wake up and be alone, and everything back to how it was? No, that was a thought he wasn't going to dwell on, this felt too real to be a dream anyway. He had known for a long time he loved Peasley, he may have been an expert at keeping it in, not saying anything directly to anyone, even inside his own mind, but that feeling had always been there since their first adventure together. Had nothing to do with him being a prince, had nothing to do with how handsome he was, Peasley was just a presence he felt comfortable around--well aside from the awkwardness he felt from being secretly in love with him, but otherwise, he was able to be himself around him, and Peasley was always excited to be with him, and it was never forced or false--
He broke the kiss, suddenly unable to breathe well, and look down at the blond, breathing heavily. He swallowed, and stammered, "Peasley, I . . ." He paused and bit his lip, and the prince merely just stared at him, waiting. He leaned in quickly and kissed him shortly again, before saying, "I'm-a very tired, I'm-a sorry . . ." He smiled in apology, really not wanting to stop, but . . .
PEASLEY: Peasley smiled and sighed affectionately as Luigi apologized. He loosened his grip and adjusted himself a little. "Now Luigi, remember the reason we went to bed in the first place!" His face gained a sly expression. "Though I know perhaps it would be hard to keep one's mind straight, heheh..." It was more appropriate than it came off, he was half talking about himself as well, for once.
Not one to talk about his feelings at length, Peasley scooted closer and snuggled up right under Luigi's chin. "I think I will have to agree with you though, we should rest up from a long day.." He spoke softly again and was interrupted by a yawn. "I will... I will see you in the morning." He would sort out all this then, he decided.
LUIGI: Peasley's words made him blush, he knew he was joking (or at least very strongly hoped). But his words DID ring true, he hadn't gone to bed intending to . . . kiss the prince.
He somehow to managed an "aw!" as Peasley snuggled in under his chin like a cat, and just wrapped his arms around hist body and tilting his face in Peasley's hair, now enjoying the feel of it that way--and gosh did it smell good, too . . . . He yawned in response to Peasley's yawn and tightened his arms just slightly, as if to make sure he would trap him there and he WOULDN'T wake up alone. "Good night . . ." he murmured drowsily, before sinking into darkness.
