Misty stepped into the hot springs, excited to finally be able to relax in the water. As soon as she looked around, however, she began to feel nervous. She hardly knew anyone there, and most of there people were men. For some reason she felt glad that she had decided to wear a bathing suit.

"Um, uh... Hi." She smiled a bit nervously as she stepped into the water, placing her towel behind her, she sunk down into the water.

When he noticed Misty, he smiled, waving to her. "Misty? Wow! Fantastic to finally meet you! It's an honor to meet the Cerulean Gym Leader!"

He laughed, scratching the back of his head. "You may have heard of me, I'm Professor Oak!"

Out of the corner of his eye, Surge noticed Misty enter the bath house. Glancing over, he realized that Oak had engaged her in conversation. With a grin, he quickly got up and headed over to them.

"Hey, you two. How has both of your vacations been?" Sitting down next to Misty, he added "Especially you, little missy... I haven't seen you once since we got here."

Misty turned to Surge and smiled. She also felt herself blush a little bit, but that must have been from the heat of the water.

"It's been good. I'm mostly been sitting around in my room and relaxing a bit. I went for a small run this morning, but that's about it. What about you, Surge, enjoying your time here?"

Misty sat up a little and smiled over at Oak, giving a small wave back to him.

"Oh, thank you Professor Oak. You're too kind. And of course I've heard of you. What Pokemon Trainer hasn't? You're quite a legend, you know! I'm honored to meet you."

She let out a small nervous laugh, but she felt a little less awkward, glad to have someone who knew about Pokemon to talk to.

He blushed a bit, scratching the back of his head. "You flatter me so, my dear!"

He was about to go into more detail, when Surge's voice registered into his ears. Turning to him, he smirked. "Ahh, Surge! It's been going wonderfully despite..almost being choked on rum.. for me! The bus ride up was a fun experience, however it's been relaxing to say the least! Just what I needed!"

"Heh, I've been good," Surge nodded at Misty. "Scoped out the bar, and it's in tip-top condition, if I do say so myself! Ha ha!" He didn't even notice Misty's blush as he turned towards the professor.

"Yeah, those bus rides were something crazy, alright. I didn't see you on the one Falcon was driving, were you on the other one? I'm kind of curious how we'll get back since they were somewhat destroyed and all..."

"Unfortunately no, I was on the other bus with my grandson~ I haven't flown in such a long time, it was refreshing~"

Frowning, he nodded. "Of course, that does prove a problem. I'm sure we'll get something worked out, though!"

Surge nodded as he sank a bit more into the water. "Man, I don't know which bus was the crazier trip," he grinned. "Both were pretty awesome, too bad I could only be on one."

"So, have any plans for tonight? I mean, after a nice, long soak and all..." Surge was most definitely going to the bar after this, and he was planning on rounding up as many people as he could. Or at least, as many people that he knew so far that he could tolerate. Not that he would tell Oak his plan, that would just ruin everything.

Slicking his hair to the side, he shrugged, "I was going to retire for the night after I was done here...Unless you have something in mind?" he curiously asked, crooking an eyebrow.

"Well, I did have SOMETHING in mind," Surge stood up, grinning. "But that's for later, not right now. Right now, though..." He paused, glancing around. "Right now, I'm kind of bored. Maybe I should take a walk or something... Care to join me?"

He glanced back at Misty and waved. "It was cool talking with you. We should hang out sometime after we get back to school."

"Hmm, alright," he laughed, standing up right after Surge did. "We might as well, ah hehe!"

Also waving to her, he nodded. "Indeed! We should talk again sometime, it was fantastic~"

Misty smiled to both of them.

"Oh, yeah, that would be great. I enjoyed talking with both of you." She waved to them, "Um, you two have fun..."

She sunk back into the water, trying not to get in the way.

"You know," Surge turned to Oak, "I think I saw some small pathway in the back. Looked like exploring material to me. Unless you have any suggestions..." Not even waiting for a response, Surge walked off towards the youth hot springs, unaware of what awaited them.
