Sable listened to the bass intently, swaying just a little bit to the music. Her initial plan was to remain silent throughout the entire song, but after a moment, she couldn’t help but speak up.
“You’re very good,” she observed. “How long have you been playing?”

“A band!” Sable repeated, her eyes widening. Well, that was exciting! Granted, virtually the only artist she ever listened to was K.K. Slider, but it never hurt to get aquainted to new bands. “What was it called?”
"Hm...I can't say I have," Sable admitted, looking away for a brief second. "Then again, where I come from there was only one singer that was very popular with everyone, so because of that I honestly haven't heard of many other band's music."
"Oh," said Duster, a little crestfallen. "Well, we were very popular back in the Nowhere Islands, and we played at Daisy's birthday party last year. If you went to that you would have seen us."
"I see...I don't think I went to Daisy's birthday party, at least, I can't remember..." Sable mused, trying to think back to last year. Knowing her, she probably was doing some kind of sewing project instead. Like she always does.
Still, she perked up. "But I'll have to listen to your band's music, since you sound very good! Do you happen to have any CDs, or...?"
"It's sort of a mess," said Duster, already beginning the apology that he really did need to be giving. He set his bass into its case on the floor. He'd put it away better later. Maybe.
"Follow me," said the man with the bright pink pants, as he limped down the hallway.
Sable simply nodded as she slowly followed Duster. It was impossible to not notice the fact that he was limping, but would it really be right to bring it up...? In the end however, she was very concerned about this.
"Oh. Well...hmmm." To be blunt, it still bothered her a little that he was walking around like this, but if he had this limp for that long, then he was probably used to it by now. It might have looked worse than it actually was.
She didn't say anything else (even though she wanted to double check that everything was okay), she just continued following Duster to his room.
"Sit a bit and listen in," said Duster.
"Do you prefer rockabilly or jazz?" he asked. "I can switch over if you want."

I don't mind," said Duster. He left his slaps behind and started something a little more like this:
Stupid facial expressions and all.

"I do, but none on me. But if you want to go to my room, I could get you one," said Duster.
Oh my, Sable. A gentleman has just invited you to go into his boudoir.
