Outside of quickly dropping off letters off each morning at the dorm's mailboxes and showing up to class, it almost felt like Parakarry had fallen off the face of the earth. Throughout the month it was rare to cross paths with him on campus.
December 1st marked the beginning of the holiday season. It marked the beginning of a period of people getting gifts for others, buying stationary and cards for letters brimming with holiday cheer for their loved ones and 22 days of Parakarry working almost non-stop to make sure each piece of mail was delivered before Christmas.
Parakarry didn't mind too much. Sure, it was sometimes a pain lugging so many packages in the snow and the whole serial killer being on the loose did put him a bit on the edge when he did his rounds but he liked the traveling around and seeing how happy his mail patrons got whenever he handed them their mail always brought him satisfaction. Besides, as a mailman, he had a creed to hold up. "Neither rain nor sleet nor snow nor dead of night..."
If he wasn't flying around from place to place, Parakarry was usually in his delivery store. Strands of green and red lights bordered the outside of the store's roof. Indoors, the shelves were brimming with greeting cards, stationary, wrapping paper among other products that were covered in patterns of holly, stars, snowmen and other Christmas-related themes. Resting on the payout counter were small slotted boxes provided by some local charities that asked for donations. There were a couple coins already inside each one. They sat beneath a potted pine tree that was dressed up in gold tinsel and some
decorations with a mushroom kingdom flair. The topper he got for it was rather
interesting too.
Parakarry being the merciful paratroopa that he was, the place was devoid of the sounds of Christmas songs being played on repeat 24/7. Occasionally the television that hung in one corner may of been tuned in to some random Christmas special at any given time though...or any random program in general. Parakarry wasn't in full control of what was being watched as he kept accidentally losing the remote.
Further down the store was the door that led to his office. It was much plainer than the store in terms of decorating, just a couple of Christmas cards Parakarry had received stood on his desk. But if you keep checking in throughout the month, you might notice the number of cards increase.
(OOC: Make sure to leave a time/hour on the subject line. Store hours are from 7:00AM to 7:00PM but you might luck out and find him after closing time.)
