Marie wasn't really there for counseling. Kojiro fit the job description, sure, and Marie was sure he would do well. But seeing someone on his team for counseling just seemed... weird. He just came to visit. It had been a long time since the two had talked.

"Hey," he mumbled quietly, slipping into the spacious office.

Kojiro looked up at the sound of Marie's voice and offered a gentle smile. Despite the two having gone to that horrid concert, they hadn't gotten the chance to talk much.

"Hello, Marie."

The Squirtle noted the papers in his teammates hand and hesitated with his own hand on the door.

"Are you busy? Is now a bad time? Should I go?" he sputtered out, fidgeting with his free hand.

"Not at all. Just checking over some things," he replied, pushing the papers aside. "Come in, sit down."

Marie looked somewhat relieved, and finally walked fully into the office. He hesitated again by Kojiro's impressive rock garden, then finally found a comfortable seat near where the Lapras sat.

After a somewhat comfortable silence, Marie asked, "How are you?"

"I am doing quite well."

He offered a cup of hot cocoa. "Did you enjoy the concert?" By the expression on his face as he asked that, it was very obvious he didn't want to talk about it but felt he had no choice.

With greedy hands, Marie took the cup from Kojiro. Although he didn't usually drink anything other than water, something sweet like hot chocolate would do. He held the cup with both his hands and took a slow sip before replying.

"Yeah, I did. I mean... The concert was fun. But that whole thing in the middle of it. I dunno."

Marie offered Kojiro an awkward smile, then covered it up with the mug of cocoa.
