Stargazing! (Open log!)
Who: Cyrus and YOU!
When: Friday night, between around 7 pm to about 1 am Saturday
What: *points to title*
Where: That big field out back where all the stuff happens that you would do in a big field. You know the place.
Warnings: Nothing that I can forsee, but you guys surprise me sometimes.
Friday afternoon saw the network met with a short message.
Tonight will be a clear night, or it is seeming such as of now. Should it be, it is ideal weather for stargazing. I invite anyone willing to join me in the field tomorrow after dark.
And sure enough, it was a brilliantly clear night. Anyone coming to the field would find Cyrus there, setting up a variety of telescopes, from the basic tabletop kind set on a picnic table up to a huge one that probably weighed several hundred pounds and probably cost several thousand dollars. The boxes for the telescopes were off to the side--had he ordered them just for the occasion?
Also on the picnic table were some carafes and paper cups. If one was to open the carafes they would find lemon tea, hot chocolate, coffee, and hot soy milk. Next to them were a few photocopied pages detailing the stars and constellations that would be visible.
And yet Cyrus was paying almost no attention to anything that wasn't through a telescopic lens. Occasionally he would write something down in a pocket notebook, but mostly his attention was entirely on the heavens above.
