Edward figured this was some sort of delightful little game the hands liked to play on their students, as he never had such a strange event happen over at Capcom High. Not that he'd ever think Wily the type to slip people 100$ dollar bills in their pockets and tell them they had to suit up and meet someone else at a restaurant.

Only now he realized he might not even be a girl. He could be waiting to meet a guy.

Still, he had dressed in his Sunday tuxedo best, his parent's lesson about how to treat a visitor with respect repeating in his mind as he fidgeted with his hands below, waiting.

Blind dates. So that's what everything was about. She'd gotten her invitation and was mostly confused about it. Why would they do something like this? She'd had enough dates in the last seven days. Did she need another one?

On the other hand, it was a free meal and maybe it wouldn't be someone she hated. Like Professor Robotnik. That would have sucked.

So when she saw Edward, she was pleasant surprise. As she scooted into her chair, she settled her chin into the palm of her hand. "Well, well, well. You're a sight for sore eyes. How's it hanging, Edward?"

There was barely any time for him to quickly get up and push the chair behind her. He had been trying to be polite!

Sitting down again, he gave an awkward grin of a man who had no idea how to address girls properly.

"I'm fine. I'm rather pleased you're here as well and not ahh...male."

Oh, wasn't he a gentleman. And that wasn't quite heard of for her. So while it was a teensy bit charming, Nabooru felt it was entirely unnecessary. And she eyed him without judgment. After all, he was just another guy and it wasn't like this was some brilliant means of hooking them up together.

She looked down to herself, even sat up a little straighter and ran her hands over the front of her bustline. "No. I'm pretty sure I'm a woman. I don't suppose you want to check."

Edward would have wanted it otherwise, I'm pretty sure. Ganondorf would punch him if he found out. And hello, Nabooru, please don't do that with a young man who hasn't seen a lady naked properly, his jaw stuff there for a second before he composed himself, turning beet red.

"W-well---I-I..no. No that would be to terribly impolite," he managed to stammer, his accent thick and heavy.

She chuckled and settled back into her seat. This was seriously the way things were supposed to be. She was supposed to get a rise out of other people. Other people were not supposed to start stirring her insides because that was going to become a problem. It was very, very hard to deal with emotions and the difficulties that came with them. And in fact, her own feelings were akin to great demons and enemies that Nabooru wanted to promptly squash down.

"Sorry. I'm teasing you." She smiled kindly and tapped the fingers of her right hand upon the table's surface. "Where are you from? No one else here, as far as I know, talks like that."

"Ah yes. I did notice that the Jeff chap had a small accent like mine but I am quite used to being one of the only on campus to--" he coughed again realizing he was just training off," --aah I apologize. I come from Londo. It's a country far away from here."

Jeff. Jeff who, she wondered. Except he was still talking and she wasn't about to interrupt him. Well. Not at this point in time anyway.

"A country far away from here." She guessed so. "I've never heard of it. What made you decide to transfer to the academy from Capcom's rather than returning home?"

The interrogation began.

"I enjoy new challenges," he explained. "I was never quite fond of my home, truthfully..."

Oh ho ho ho not so fast. Edward was raised as a high class rich boy. He knew how these things went and the proper etiquette. Not that he was using it much before in his life.

"But enough about me. You are quite...exotic, and dare I say, a rather beautiful woman. From which lands do you hail from?"

Oh, and he was too clever for her. She hadn't wanted to talk about herself at all. She cradled her chin in the palm of her hand as she smiled lightly. He was telling her she was beautiful, like she hadn't heard it a good fifteen million times before.

"Exotic, hm? I'd say I'm average next to my kind." Then Nabooru tapped at her lower lip with her free hand. "I hail from a desert. Far away from this land. So far that I doubt the sun even scarcely touches it when she sinks beneath the horizon."

"There are many deserts around the world I have visited," he told her, pondering. "There is a comrade I met once, Rouge, she also hailed from a faraway land. Sometimes I wonder if the sun here is the same one I saw each morning in my homeland."

Edward had his utterly derpy moments. Or maybe he was right. The nature of the school kept everything in a strange state of confusion.

"But please, don't be so modest about yourself!"

She hadn't personally thought of that, but Edward did have a valid point. Perhaps the sun in the academy was not the one that was so unforgiving in the desert. But unforgiving or not, whatever world she was going off to, as long as there was a sun, she'd enjoy it. Cold weather was not meant for her and rainy days were downright depressing.

"That's not modesty," she countered. "I'm not a modest person. I'm strictly stating a fact." She really did find that the Gerudo mostly looked the same: the same tanned flesh, the same radiant red hair, and the same facial structure. There wasn't much in the way of variety, but some people actually digged that. Nabooru, personally, would have liked some individuality, however.

"If you say so, but it pains me to see a lady think themselves as merely 'on on the line' so to speak." Edward had all the charming wits of a Londo boy. He took a sip of his water glass before continuing.

"I am sure that even if you may look similair, there are always details that differ you. Twins, for example. If you know a pair enough you'll be able to denote them based on personality and mannerisms."

Nabooru nodded slowly. She understood well enough what Edward was saying, even if she didn't quite think it applied to the Gerudo lifestyle. But then, she also supposed that her second-in-command hadn't looked quite identical to her.

"You're a real flatterer, you know that?" she asked with a sly smile. Nabooru leaned forward in her chair and her free hand tapped at the table with interest. Why yes. He was a bit charming and Nabooru liked charm; there was no doubt about it.
