And there out walking around was a zombie in broad daylight? Well not quite, but the man was very gaunt and seemed to be rather in a daze, distracted by something that perhaps only existed in his own mind.

But then he stopped, glancing over at the newcomer. The boy must be from an uncomfortably hot climate if he was so covered in the present heat. And there was a strange power from him, something he couldn't describe.

Vivi had seen some odd things in his (very) short life, but he'd never seen a human who looked so, well, un-human before. Her majesty Queen Brahne hadn't exactly been a looker, but even she had some colour in her cheeks, unlike the strange man that he occasionally caught sight of around the campus.

The fact that he stared as well didn't do much good either, as it made him feel uncomfortable, pulling the sides of his hat closer to his face. Heat or cold was nothing Vivi had to worry about though - he felt little of either.

Discomfort was something Cyrus noticed, and he approached. "You have come from that distant school..." he muttered, almost half-voiced. "Something inspires you. But what? What worlds do you know?"

"U-Uhm, I don't r-r-really know what y-you mean mister." The mage just managed to stutter, still clutching his hat for dear life. He was never very good with strangers, and this man was even more intimidating up close than from afar.

"I j-just transferred here from S-S-Square-Enix," He took a couple of small steps backwards, offering the piece of paper in his hand to Cyrus. "S-S-See."

Cyrus glanced at the paper, reading down it. "There have been many transfers...what a strange term to use, as in a transfer something is given."

"H-Have there? I t-think I'm the only one f-from mine..." He trailed off for a moment, glancing around the area. "I thought t-the others w-were coming too..." the mage seemed a little sad in tone at the mention that he was the only Enixian to apply for the Smash academy.

What was on the paper anyway? will_be_god September 10 2011, 00:53:28 UTC
"Another school, Capcom, has given some of its students as well." He handed the paper back. "There will likely be others. I have heard many things about your school. Tell me, what is your area of study?"

Just his transfer/class records, nothing heavy. memeto_vivere September 10 2011, 01:51:58 UTC
"A-Area of study? Magic I guess... though! I have heard that they do different types of magic here." Vivi perked up as the conversation turned to a subject he felt most comfortable with. He took the paper back with his other hand, trying not to drop it by accident.

"D-Do you know any magic mister?"

"Magic?" Such ignorance! "There is no such thing as magic; only things that science has yet to explain." That was his belief and he stuck by it no matter what, no matter how much the people around him would term "magic" those things that had perfectly reasonable explainations such as elemental manipulation. Any pokémon could do that and it didn't make it magic.

"O-Oh okay..." If it wasn't clear in his tone, it was certainly clear in his eyes that he felt a little hurt by the statement. Magic was almost everything to him, and the one thing that he did best. He didn't know much about science, but from what he'd learnt, it didn't feel the same as when he cast spells.

"S-Sorry if I upset you..." He tugged on his hat more, almost as if trying to conceal his face from view.

"You did nothing of the sort," Cyrus told him. Such a sensitive child...

"Tell me of yourself. From where do you come?"

"W-Well... uhmm..." Vivi wasn't entirely sure he felt comfortable talking to this strange man, but he didn't seem to mean any harm - in fact, maybe this was his way of trying to be friendly. What could be wrong with that?

"M-My name is Vivi, I just came from S-S-Square-Enix academy... Unless you meant b-before then! Then I came from Gaia..."

"Gaia?" Cyrus had heard the name before, but only as the name of an earth deity in some ancient religions. Never as a place name. "I have not heard of such a place. Where is it located?"

He rocked a little on his heels while he thought about the question. Where was Gaia? He could probably figure out a map of the place if some was put in front of him, but he was completely lost when thinking of where it could be in relation to everything else.

"I-I-I don't know sir..." He mumbled, still rocking slightly, looking at the floor as he talked. "I-I just remember turning up a-at S-Square-Enix one day..."

Amnesia? Or something more complicated? "I see. Tell me of it then."

"W-Well it's a reaaaaaaally big place, and it has lots of different people in it," He spread his arms out as wide as he could to the side as if to emphasise the size scale he was talking about, daring to let go of his hat.

"T-though, I haven't met a-all of them yet... most of them are p-pretty scary..."
