Now this was unusual. Late in the evening one night, Midna had stolen herself away outside to walk along the shore. This was not the unusual part. Like something out of a painfully cliche romance novel, perhaps, but not altogether unusual.

The unusual part was the drifting, bobbing, altogether spectral looking chandelier that was floating across the island sands.

Midna had taken to standing still, raising a finger to her chin as she arched an inquisitive eyebrow over its existence. "Now what in the world are you...?"

"Chandelure!" It cooed adorably, moving it's tiny little arms back and forth. Hello, hello!

It seemed to understand her. At least Midna was assuming that was responding to her and not just making a random noise to make a random noise. She floated a bit closer herself, giving the foreign creature (it was a creature, right?) a safe berth as she inspected it. Chandelure was an awful strange thing to be able to say. Then again...

"I'm going to take a wild guess that you're a Pokemon, hmm?"

A nod! Yes Midna, this was exactly it. Again, it swung it's arms back and forth, in a way that could remind one of a musical metronome. The childish laughter echoed rather well out in the open beach.

One point for Midna. The laughter brought a small grin to her face.

"I doubt you're a wild one." Midna reached out slightly towards the pokemon's flames, but kept her hand at a safe distance for the both of them while she cocked her head at it. May I?

"You don't exactly fit the tropical island motif."

Hey if you could survive touching the fire lady, Sasha didn't mind at all. In fact she attempted to grin back, although it sounded more like a bunch of gears going off, grinding until her face was at the proper height.

It gave a hovering no at the first question, and a nod at the second comment.

"LUUURE!"

"Eee hee hee, don't break your face now. That sounds a bit complicated."

Seeing that she (apparently) had the go ahead to satisfy her curiosity, the Twili tipped her fingers towards the chandelier slightly, just out of reach of the flickering flames. She had her fair share of experience with spectral flames, so she wasn't about to touch them so openly. And really what normal person was about to just randomly touch a regular flame either. At least they seemed rather spectral. It was probably a bit too soon to tell but... this was not traditional fire. Midna had a bag of milky ways.

Hmm. If only that farm boy was around... she wondered what he would have been able to see about it.

"Have you gotten lost from your mansion? Ooh, or perhaps you've met an unfortunate fate."

She nodded at the last one. Finally, someone who understood! Err, somewhat anyway. She floated away, looking around until she found a patch of sand that looked damp enough for her to write something on it. It took a long while and a few angry chirps, but eventually something was written on it.

Well hopefully that's what it looked like as it was much harder to write anything when you were just a piece of floating furniture.

Curves were apparently a bit tricky to draw with Candelure arms. Midna floated over to the lines carved in the sand, giving them a moment's consideration. It was a name. Maybe... No, Midna was fairly certain that's what it was. A fairly familiar one, though Midna could not quite recall if she had every spoken to the dragon that it belonged to. Perhaps she had.

"Eee hee hee... So I suppose they're true, those rumours about curses. That's exciting."

She chirped back angrily.

NO THIS WAS NOT AS EXCITING AS YOU THOUGHT IT MIGHT BE, MIDNA. SERIOUSLY.
