Mac was sleepy very soundly. You better bet he is. He expected that he was going to have to get up scarily early for whenever Max was going to do the training. Yes, Mac was not a soldier. But he wanted a challenge. He wanted to train. He wanted to get all the guts he thought he needed to be a boxing champ. He had to be tough. He had to be strong. He had to be a million demanding things in his tender age of nineteen.

When Max busted in the door, he shot up like a pop tart. BDWHDBGHWDGYUWQ

"Uh...whut..."

Five seconds later...give him a rest, even he has a hard time waking up THIS early. Then he shook himself awake.

"UH, UH! YES SIR! RIGHT AWAY, SIR!"

Whoosh.

Jake was dressed, awake, and ready. Up to this point he had been completely silent. "So it begins, huh bra?" he asked with a chuckle, clipping his MP3 player to his belt.

Max just nods briefly at Jake. He's in Boot Camp Drill Instructor Mode right now. Intimidation 110%.

Jake nodded back. He hopped up to join them. He enlisted Goose, after all. Like hell he was gonna miss this. Back when he enlisted he survived Max's basic training. And he knew just what these poor bastards were in for.

Meanwhile, MAC IS RUSHING TO GET DRESSED. He looked like a royal mess but HERE HE IS. Okay you gave him a whole two minutes to find clothes to wear and put them on.

THEN HE IS HERE FOR DUTY. SORT OF.

Well, Goose didn't need to be waken up from drooling onto his pillow like that.

Like, at all. Period.

He didn't have this kind of awakening since his flight club, and even that wasn't nearly as bad as Max.

He just kind of rose and groggily stared at him.
