What: Storming a castle! Rescuing parents! Breaking contracts! Beating the crap out of Bowser and his minions!
Where: First in front of the school, then at Bowser's Castle

If they were going to go deep into the castle, they were going to have to charge in and defeat any enemies that stood in their path! Who knows what sort of minions were going to stand in their way?

The correct answer was about six or seven reanimated turtle skeletons, shuffling back and forth, hither and yon.

Oh well that's just great, some Dry Bones! It was time to at least try to get rid of these undead monsters as quick as possible. Watt started to dash towards one of the skeletons, charging up some electricity in the progress, and only unleashed her attack once she rammed right into an enemy.

OOPS sorry did Knuckles just run over top of all those pieces of bone? I believe he did. He was doing his best to avoid these guys where possible - so far as he was concerned this was a rescue mission, not an excuse to wail on hapless lackeys. Not that he'd back down if any proved to be in the way. Luckily they were slow and he was much less so.

"C'mon - try not to tangle with these guys too much - there's a bunch of them and they're just gonna slow us down!" he yelled over his shoulder at the others.

That was high tail to get away from the rubble. Because Mac just felt weird that they were still moving when they were in pieces. He heard Knuckles and moved out of the way. He decided Knuckles was right. Let's not bother with them.

"Okay, I getcha. Let's keep movin', yeah?"
