Maybe this time would be different. That's what Jake kept telling himself. His track record of dates with Rachel so far hadn't been all that good. They kept getting interrupted by their friends, and what could have been a romantic private moment for them just... wasn't. Jake was determined to change that. This would just be a normal, pleasant date.
So there he was, knocking on Rachel's door, wearing a nice shirt and pants.
