Knuckles had rounded up some essentials - A few spare shirts and some school supplies, some gatorades and a school map. Just simple things that Blaze might need for the moment until she got herself more settled and set up with some of her own stuff. She apparently had some rings on her, whioch was a good start, and a lot of other things were provided by the school. But that took time.

He gave a brief rap on her door and waited.

The door opened quietly, and there was Blaze.

"Knuckles. Good to see you. This has been a very strange couple of days..."

"From the sounds of it, yeah, it has." Knuckles nodded, entering the room and passing her the parcel of items he'd brought along. "Being as you don't have anything much with you, here's some of my stuff till you can get set up with your own things. The black shirt is my favorite so, be careful with it."

It was his WWRHD shirt. It was priceless in his eyes.

"How'd you show up here without any of your stuff, if you don't mind me asking...?"

"Thank you," she answered, taking the parcel and setting it on her bed. She started to unpack it, looking through the items he brought.

She sighed. "I'm not sure... I was checking on the Sol Emeralds, there was some kind of energy discharge, and then I was in the middle of the street."

Finally, she held up the WWRHD shirt. "What does this mean...?"

Very solemn. This is obviously no laughing matter.

Oh and that thing with the emeralds and transporting and dimension hopping. That was a big deal too, probably.

"You know, there's no end to the things the Chaos Emeralds can do and I'm sure the Sol Emeralds are the same.. did they follow you through to this dimension?"

"I'm... not certain," Blaze answered. She decided to let the subject of this Rawk Hawk fellow go for the time being and laid out the shirt along with some other items of clothes that would probably be a bit too big for her but would probably suffice if she needed them. "I can't sense them. If they were here too, I should know right away. But at least back home they're safe..."

She hoped.

"So... you can sense them the same way I can sense the Chaos Emeralds and master Emerald." Knuckles mused. "Well... I hope they're safe for the time being until we can figure out a way to know for certain... If the Sol Emeralds sent you here then it's possible the Chaos Emeralds could help send you back, if that's what you felt you needed to do."

He knew he'd be frantic with worry over the Master Emerald if he was suddenly shunted into another timespace without any way of knowing how to get back.

"As much as I wouldn't mind a visit here on my own terms... I would like to get back home, once I've figured out why the Sol Emeralds sent me here," she explained.

"Sounds fair enough." Knuckles replied with a nod. "My first instinct is to see what I can find out from my own emeralds..... there may be a connection there. We don't have any Sol Emeralds in this dimension to work with of course.. so.. Chaos Emeralds might just be the next best thing. The Master Emerald especially can help to shed light on such things."

Blaze nodded. "I hope so," she replied. With a sigh, she added, "I don't like being away from my world for so long. I have a responsibility not only to the Sol Emeralds but to my people..."

She started writing a list of things she still needed, organizing the things Knuckles brought her. "I appreciate all your help," she told him.

"I understand. I'll do what I can to help you figure this out - and you don't need to thank me for the help. That's what friends are for, after all."

Just as importantly, he was going to send a letter to Bark this evening. He needed to know if the Blaze THEY were more familiar with was still in this dimension with him - If so, it was possible she could shed some light on why this version of Blaze might be here.

"By the way," she began, "there was another me here? When?"

"Oh... uhhh... well. Yeah. She was here when I first arrived like... three years ago. So was a guy called Bark. He's the Polar Bear I mentioned. I became pretty good pals with him... in fact, he was my best friend when I got here. Eventually he admitted he kinda liked Yo--...Blaze. And I talked him into asking her to Prom, and it kinda went from there. They were... an interesting couple. I mean, he was pretty intense about how much he liked her and she was a little more distant, but it was obvious she really liked him too."

He paused, taking a seat on the bed. "They left together after this big mess called the Aparoid war and went to live in the Aurora Icefield for a good long while... eventually she came back to finish her education but stayed only a couple semesters before going back."

He scratched at his chin. "I write them every so often, but Bark isn't much of one for writing back so I haven't heard from him in a while. No e-mail up there so..."

"No - it's not to be honest." Knuckles replied. "I've seen a lot of people come and go from here now so, it's really not as surprising for me as it is for someone unused to the way time works here. I mean, I left this place for a week not long ago - it was a year by my reckoning but I got back here and barely seven days had passed."
