Lash was bored.
Claus was spending the weekend with Hinawa, Hawke was doing...probably Hawke things and she didn't want to bother him for a ride out the night town at this hour. Woe, did the world cry when the afro wunderkind was bored. Because she liked to hatch plans. Very terrible plans that involved some sneaking and being a terrible person in general.
Naturally, she told Zapdos. Increasing the risk to more people would be unnecessary, since she had a feeling a lot of people would find the idea stupid in the first place (but Lash? making a stupid idea? DON'T BE RIDICULOUS). But the prize, that Capcom High Mascot (or what Lash assumed was the mascot from the place it was) situated was near the front building, would be a glorious thing to bring back her and place on top of the tower. Imaging the bragging rights. Wasn't mascot stealing part of the fun of being a rival school, right? And going with a huge amount of people was just increasing her risks of being found.
Besides, Lash liked the idea of doing a mission on her own (almost). It added to the danger. She hadn't had proper danger in quite a while! Sneaking out of her down had been pretty easy, setting up a rendez-vous with Zapdos under a tree at midnight, some tools, a handbag, her hair somehow hidden under a cap and some black makeup. She was taking this sneaking mission pretty seriously.
