Amp is mainly just around to enjoy the beauty of nature's finest, yet rarest naturally occurring color. Pink wasn't exactly... as frequent as the lush greens and browns she got used to, but that didn't matter to her at all. It made her enjoy it more when she actually was around it.

Thus, she found piles of blossom petals and tried to gather them into a pile.

She'd then hop into them like she would with autumn leaves.

Nephenee saw a puff of petals explode into the air from where she was walking from getting a drink, and tilted her head. What on earth... she came over and stuck her head above the pile, inspecting it. "Hello?"

AND THEN.

An Amp popped her head out of said petal pile. They were... definitely very face-to-face.

"Pika!"

Neph hopped back a step when the yellow mouse popped out, nearly smacking into the farm girl's face. She settled when it appeared friendly, though. "O-oh! Hello there, lil' one!"

"Pikapikachu!"

Amp's upper body wriggled out of the petals, and once she did that, she gave Neph a friendly wave. This lady seemed nice!

She then pulled herself out entirely and began to climb to her shoulder. Typical Pikachu greeting.

Oh...oh my goodness, how adorable~ Nephenee gave the strange creature a small wave back, and giggled when the mouse hopped up onto her shoulder, "Oh! Ya're a friendly, lil thing, ain't ya? Ah ain't seen somethin' like ya before... Do ya got a name?"

hrrgh it was so cute.

"Pikachu!"

Amp pointed to herself and nodded. That was her species name. However, she had another name. She hopped into the dirt below and wrote it out in big letters. 'AMP'. That was her name!

"Aww, so you're Pikachu. Nice ta meet ya!" Pikachu hopped down, though, and Neph watched as the creature wrote in the dirt. She squinted at the letters, trying to read them. "...A...M...P." Sounding it aloud a few times, she tried putting it together, "A...m..p." The long A sounded funny...maybe a short one? "A..mp...Amp?"

Amp nodded in confirmation, kneading her paws gently, yet happily into Nephenee's clothes. That was just right!

"Well, nice ta meet ya, Amp!" Neph knealt in front of her, and picked her up. A thought occured to her, "You're so cute! Are you one of them Pokémon I've seen about?"

"Chu!" A nod! "Pikachu pika!" She is a Pikachu, yes.

Amp points to the petals. She was hopping in those and being what a Pikachu should be.
