The Ivysaur froze in its tracks as soon as the Meganium's gaze turned onto him. This could only mean that its trainer would soon turn its attention onto the wild flower, and that was something that he really didn't want right now.

He huddled low against the ground, trying to keep out of the human's line of sight. If it wasn't for the hate behind his eyes, he could've been mistaken for just a timid natured Grass Type - which, considering the itch he felt to simply attack the trainer outright, was the farthest thing from the truth. But he had at least enough respect for a Meganium, even one who allowed himself to be a pet, to hold back for now.

The Ivysaur didn't say anything, but his look of distain spoke for him. Why? Why would you follow this human?

Vicky didn't say anything either, though the Meganium stood up a little straighter. There was nothing challenging in its eyes, though there was an unmistakable glimmer of pride. This wild Pokemon was welcome to live life however it pleased, and if it looked down on Vicky for walking with a human, well... that was fine too. But he had never once regretted the choices he'd made. He followed this human out of love.

He looked over to Lyra, who simply shot her Pokemon a puzzled look. She couldn't see anything but plants! Shrugging, she opted for the next best thing: calling obliviously to the Mystery Thing. "Hello...? Come out, Mr. Pokemon! Or... Ms. Pokemon. ...Or not a Pokemon at all. Are you sure there's something here, Vic?"

Vicky let out a bleat in response. Yes, there was something there, but he wasn't going to say exactly where just yet, because wouldn't it rather decide for itself whether to come out or run away?

Hearing Lyra trying to call out to him sparked an alarm in his head - she was looking for Pokemon in the forest. She was trying to catch him!

Meganium had obviously been brainwashed by this girl. Or some sort of sick stockholm syndrome. He couldn't think of any other reason why such a proud and powerful Grass Pokemon would deign to be a human's companion. It was sad, really, but he was beyond help now. Under no circumstances was Ivysaur going to let it happen to him.

He snarled loudly, Get away from me! and released a thick burst of Poison Powder in their direction to keep them from following him as he tried to flee.
