There was a distant rustle in the bushes, off the beaten trail. Someone of keen hearing would probably be able to tell it wasn't just some passing breeze - someone was in the tall grass, just out of sight.

Then suddenly, a thin vine shot out from the underbrush, lashing out at the humanized Pokemon's hands. The flower was slapped out of her grip, without any care to the pain that the force of the whip would cause.

It wasn't unusual to hear noises in the forest. Birds, squirrels, and all sorts of wild Pokemon made their home there, after all. What was unusual was actually being attacked by something for no good reason. The vine stung more than it would have if she were fully human or some type that wasn't water, admittedly. She let out a squeal of pain and clutched her hand, glancing wildly around her for any sign of the culprit.

"What the hell?! Come out where I can see you!"

Oh no, Ivysaur wasn't so stupid as to come prancing out whenever anyone demanded. It was much better to keep her in the dark - if she didn't know where he was, then she couldn't expect where his next attack would come from. It was as much of a fear tactic as it was for his own safety.

A curveball razor leaf came spinning towards her from the side as the Ivysaur darted away, hidden.

"Coward...!"

Those big ears weren't just for show. She could hear the whistle of something slicing through the air, and even though she didn't have time to figure out where it was coming from, she wasn't going to just stand around and let it hit her. She threw herself to the ground, her human form melting away to leave a Vaporeon in her place.

If those were vines that attacked her before, then whatever it was that just missed her before had to be either leaves or petals. She was. SO TIRED. Of losing to grass types. She stood up and fanned out her facial fins in a display of courtship aggression.

"I bet you're really proud of yourself, ambushing someone you already have an advantage over. What a big mon you are!"

What the--?! So was this intruder a human, or a Pokemon? And if it was indeed the latter, what kind of traitor would shed its hide and walk around, pretending to be human? He'd attacked out of that misunderstanding, but he wasn't going to apologize for it.

Two red eyes peered out from the green, guarded and suspicious. If this was going to come down to a fight, he was confident enough in his abilities to win. He had the advantage of type and knowledge of terrain. But he wanted answers first.

"...How the fuck're you wearing human skin?"

What? Seriously? Did this thing attack her because it thought she was human? At least that meant it wasn't some bully picking on her type after all. She relaxed slightly and met the stranger's gaze.

"A special move... How can you live so close to the school and not know about it? All of us there can do it."
