How in the world did he fall for her? He didn't even know her name! But there was something about her that made her very attractive. But wasn't she marrying or something? No, he was going to somehow change her mind. He was sure he could charm her ((not)).

Oh good someone not insane in this entire place.

"Zapdos!" Lash waved at him with an arm, nearly making her entire foodstuff fall again. "Over here!"

Were you sure about that, Lash? Zapdos looked up when his name was called. Was that a pile of food...talking to him...oh it was Lash. He raised his arm in reply, "hey."

He walked over, looking around his surroundings to check and see if there were anyone else around.

"Have ya...seen Miss Flurrie?" Zapdos asked in a whispering voice.

"Miss Flurrie?" she repeated thinking. "I haven't seen mo-Miss Flurrie around much today." Lash did you just call her mom. She looked at Zapdos one eyebrow raised. "Have you taken sudden interest in theater?"

"HELL NO!" Zapdos blurted out before looking around his surroundings again.

"Just...have somethin' to tell her." Was he a little red at the face? Yes.

Okay that just made her more suspicious.

"...Have you been drinking?"

"Why would I drink?" Zapdos gave the usual 'what the hell are you on' look. "Just let me know when you see her."

He looked off to the side as he scratched his cheek, feeling a little awkward about all this.

AND WHO SHOULD HAPPEN BY RIGHT THAT MOMENT.

"Lash, dahling~! Fancy meeting you here!"

"Flurrie! Hello!" Lash's face lit up and she gave him a wave. "Are you going to spend the day with Da-Robotnik today?"

And Zapdos stood there frozen and mumbling a series of incoherent words.

"Your fa-oh, yes, I, well," Flurrie trailed off. "I mean, of course I am~! I just, ah, need to see someone else, first!"

She then noticed Zapdos's incoherent muttering. "Oh! Hello there~!"

"Oh he wanted to talk to you actually!" Lash trailed off and continued to walk with her food, not knowing what was going to happen. "I'll talk to you guys later!"

And then they were alone. In the hallway. It made him happy (for some reason) but at the same time, he kind of wished Lash was still here. With her food.

"Uh... Hello." Where did his usual loud and obnoxious personality go?

"Is that so?" Flurrie asked. "Well, I suppose I can take some time out of my schedule~! What did you want to talk about, dahling?"

Oh man, she was talking to him. It felt like a dream! His feelings felt like they were souring through the sky.

"I...uh... I like you!! Please go out with me!!" He blurted out before getting bright red in the face. There he said it; at the moment he didn't care whether she had a significant other already.
