Jan 10th. LOL. This is so...aksjdg;akd silentpsynergy January 5 2011, 20:52:05 UTC
Isaac wasn't quite sure what to think of the coupon that had been slipped beneath his and Kirby's door. He eyed it, wondering if it was a mistake, if it was for Kirby, but there was no name attached to the piece of paper and he only guessed that it was an open invitation.

He remembered a while back...he had a blind date once...with a boy. Would this be as strange? Well, this time the date was a woman...how bad could it be? And then he thought about what would happen if he had ignored it. What if the letter was actually meant for him and this mystery 'date' was expecting him to arrive. His mind started running through possibilities...

And then, two days later, he found himself in front of her door, knocking softly as his eyes wandered from the tips of his toes to her door. His free hand fidgeted with the end of his scarf while the other clutched at the handle of the picnic basket he had prepared a couple days earlier.

He waited for this mysterious message sender to arrive.

It didn't take too long. The door creaked open maybe she should get it greased and Sasha stepped out, once again in a simple red shirt and black pants combo. She had no idea who this guy was! B-but that scarf! It reminded her of someone else she knew.

That was a good thing. Sasha loved scarves.

And a picnic basket! In the middle of winter but that was okay, there were many places where they could have picnics (probably, she had no idea. She always considered eating with Red team in the mountains as an overly elongated picnic so...). This was off to a good start.

"Hello!" Now to find out his name.

"Hello," he replied with a sweet smile. "My name is Isaac. I got your letter...sort of. And I'm here to take you out. May I know your name?" Good, he was at least speaking words. Not as bad as he was when he first got to the Academy. "But, it might be a little cold for where we'll be going. Would you like to bring a jacket?"

He thought about how ridiculous me must have looked. He had no way of taking her anywhere too far from campus because, well, he couldn't drive: his entire life had been spent on his feet and so walking wasn't such a big problem, but he had to take into consideration his company.

"Do you mind going for a walk with me?" A deliberately vague response, but he had to know if she was okay with it.

(OOC: Also forgive my lameness, but I forgot to add the time. ^^; it's around sunsetish.)

He had set up the entire thing and didn't know her name granted she had signed her signature and it looked...really terrible. A few scribbles that could be Ceshe than Sasha to be honest. No wonder no one remembered it.

"Sasha," she answered, holding out her hand for a handshake. "And I don't mind walks at all. I just uh...have a tenancy to tumble sometimes." The truth was always important. "I fall once in a while. Still unused to the human feet." Hell, still unused to her Charizard feet.

"Nice to meet you, Sasha," he opened his conversation with that.

But then Isaac's eyes widened a little.

"The last thing I want is for you to get hurt," he said with building confidence, "so if you think you're going to trip, just grab on to me or something and I'll help you out." But the path wasn't very rocky or uneven though a little iced over due to the cold; he thought Sasha would be fine and gave her an assuring smile. "Well, after you grab your jacket, we can leave if you'd like." He had no idea how to do this...really, he didn't...

Well Issac, you were getting points for being nice and polite and caring, so you were doing pretty well in Lash's book so far.

"Okay!" SLAM. The door closed and she appeared a few minutes later, a coat over her shoulders and wings clasp over that. There would be no chance of her getting cold after this!

"Ready when you are!"

Sorry I'm late, I was AFK this weekend. ^^; silentpsynergy January 12 2011, 22:49:17 UTC
Well, Isaac had come overly prepared so he was set to go, clutching the picnic basket in his nervous fist.

"Of course, ladies first!" he chuckled, cheeks going from red to pink.

But the weather wasn't at all hospitable for a picnic and so he might have looked slightly insane or just naive had he been spotted. As the sun set, the light bounced off of the ice that dotted the grass and reflected rays upward. It was beautiful, yes, but not comfortable no. And, to accommodate the lady in his company and ensure she was well taken care of, wherever Isaac stepped, he left a path of fresh green grass for her to walk over. Yep, being an Adept had its benefits.

"Do you like sunsets, Sasha?" the boy looked over his shoulder, smiling.

"Okay!" She barely noticed his cheeks changing, marveled by the grass changing around him. How amazing! Vinnie would be totally jealous if he knew.

"I love them," she finally answered as they continued to move. "I try to get up for every sunrise in the morning but...not much for sunsets admittedly."

"They're beautiful, both sunrise and sunset," and his mind wandered back to the most memorable sunset he could recollect--the sunset following the Golden Sun event. His heart sank deep into his chest. "But sunrises tend to be brighter, lighter, and hopeful." He turned around, facing Sasha as he stepped backward cautiously, eyes looking into hers with childish joy. "It's always darkest before the dawn, you know? And with that, I'd like to say that we've arrived."

He stepped off the warm grass path he had made for Sasha and into the frosted lawn. The path continued to run until it reached a sizable patch of live, green grass. Flower buds spotted the perimeter and with a swift hand motion, Isaac forced them to open before her.

"Winter isn't really the best time for a picnic, so I thought I'd take nature into my own hands."

"Yeah they really are," she agreed. His words were oddly poetic and nice. But the real surprise was when she saw all those flowers blooming. It really took her breath away and she just stood there for a few seconds before gently putting a hand over one of them, afraid they'd break to her touch.

Vinnie would freak out if he saw these.

"They're...really beautiful."

Isaac chuckled, his ego stroked by Sasha's enjoyment. So, Psynergy had its 'practical' uses too.

He got to work, setting down the picnic basket and opening the blanket on the warm patch of grass he had fabricated, beneath the tree that he had specially chosen to guard them from any ill-intentioned weather. And when all was set up, he held his hand out to her, "Care to join me?" A smile followed.

Magical plant powers, polite and nice! Clearly Sasha was already enjoying this date very much.

"Of course!" She extended her hand to his and let herself be guided to the patches of grass and flowers.

The Adept guided her to a seat gently and then began unpacking the basket he had prepared.

"I didn't know what you liked, so I just packed a bit of everything," he laughed nervously, cheeks turning pink as he unloaded the bread, cheese, salad, meats, and drinks from the woven basket. "Anything in particular you like?" he looked at her, trying not to show how he was growing progressively more nervous.

Well, that was easy enough.

"Meat actually! Charizards tend to eat the most of it in the wild." She looked at everything. "But it all looks so good!" she sat down, legs crossed, waiting for him to offer something to her, being as polite as possible.

A humble smile broke across his face and he looked at her. "Well that's the lot of it," he said. "But since you like meat..." his blue eyes quickly scanned the pile. "Why not try this one?" he leaned forward and picked up a plate that held a few barbecue tri-tip rolls, offering them to her with a genial grin. "I apologize in advance," the blush grew slightly stronger. "This is the first time I've made food like this..." Yes, sandwiches...Isaac hasn't ever made a sandwich before. Then again, he's not exactly used to pre-made sauces either. And seriously, what in the world are preservatives?!

"They look delicious," she replied, grinning and grabbing one of them, the slices, the red meat still dripping a bit as she swiftly devoured it in one bite. Her eyes seemed to light up.

"Oh! It's really good!" She held herself from just grabbing the entire plate and stuffing herself stupid. "This is amazing!"
