Autoshop room. Snow Wood didn't have one of those but he could hazard a guess as to what it contained. Auto...mobiles. CARS. There were none of those in Winters, either. He heard rumours that the old Headmaster kept one around in his youth but there were no roads to drive it on. But if it was true, where was that car now? Tessie drove it around the bottom of the lake, obviously.

Maybe he would get to touch a real life car. And peek under the hood. This was all so very exciting, and Jeff leapt from his seat, his mood obviously much brighter than it was a few moments ago.

"Lead the way!"

And so they were off to the autoshop room.It was difficult to keep in mind what this new Jeff did and didn't know--this Jeff had never seen the Blue Falcon, never ridden in it, and certainly didn't know how to drive it. The Captain didn't really want to cultureshock the poor kid any more than he had been, so perhaps it was lucky that the blue behemoth was currently out in the parking lot and not pulled into the autoshop garage for tweaking.

What was in the autoshop room was a veritable mess of works-in-progress from students, teachers, and otherwise. Pieces of cars and motorcycles and flying machines littered the garage, with tools and blueprints scattered everywhere, and a suspicious brown smear on one of the walls that was totally motor oil and not blood. Nope.

Falcon made a beeline for a large, blue toolbox. "Here we are."

Sorry, Falcon. Jeff was much more interested looking at car parts. He went from vehicle to vehicle, sticking his head under open hoods and poking at engines and other things he'd never seen before, and trying to see if he could lift and entire wheel on his own (he couldn't).

THIS WAS THE BEST SCHOOL EVER.

Oh. But he'd have to leave it and go back to his own time. Oh yeah... At least he knew he'd get to see this all again when he was older. Even if it meant waiting a few years. Sigh.
