Aha. Bulba had a suspicion that's what the ring was going to be used for.

"Suppose its a good chance to put past lessons to the test."

"You got it," Mac responded. STAR PUPIIIIIL. "And it'll give new guys a chance to experience it. Oughta be better than just wallopin' a punchin' bag, I thought."

Yeah, he thought.

Also potentially more terrifying for some people. He glanced around at some of the participants, noting that there was also a chance for things to get a little out of hand for one reason or another.... Eh. It would be fine, right?

Izzy wrinkled her nose a little. This didn't bode too well for noodley arms.

"So what if we've never done this before?"

Properly, that is. Without biting and trying to claw their eyes out afterward. Cause she could totally do that, but she was pretty sure this wasn't that sort of practice.

Mac had thought about that because his class size was much bigger than before, and a lot of them are new at this. New at boxing, new to this class, and new to Mac. But he wasn't worried about it.

"I'm gonna be watchin' to see how your overall technique is. If ya have a movin' target, we could get a better idea on what we could improve," he paused. "If you're comfortable with it, of course. Cuz I can understand that if you're new to it."

Ahaa. Izzy nodded her head. "So it's less showing off a fancy upper cut and more just trying to deck each other in general."

Mac wasn't sure if that was a hundred percent accurate but..."Well, I dunno if I'd word it like that. But basically, yeah, I guess."

Lyra just started silently eyeing the other people gathered up. Trying to guess which ones she could take on and which ones would steamroller her. Hmmmmm.

Parakarry listened attentively. He was as enthusiastic as anyone could be but at the same time a little anxious. It had been a long time since he done any sort of fighting. He was awfully rusty.

Mac couldn't help but feel uneasiness in this atmosphere filled with excitement. One such feeling came from Parakarry, he looked a little nervous. Better fix that.

"Heeeey, don't worry. It won't be bad. You'll be protected pretty dang well durin' this. If you're still nervous you wanna go through with it?"
