Snow? ...Snow. Marie didn't particularly like snow. And by default, he didn't particularly like the first snow day of the year either. However, that didn't stop him from spending the next afternoon brooding about on the snowy campus. He wore the school's new winter uniform and, because the jacket lacked a hood, a dark grey hat pulled over his ears.

He had his iPod with him and his headphones around his neck, but he wasn't listening to anything. Instead, he was busy furiously texting on his phone. Fascinating! Who was he texting? That is a ~mystery~.

Marie had spotted Spinarak prior to her slipping and falling. Now, if Marie were a complete jerk, he probably would have laughed at her. Fortunately, Marie was only kind of a jerk, and so he only snickered quietly before marching over to help the poor girl.

"Hey," he started quietly. He slid on the ice a little before steadying himself and offering a mittened hand to Spinarak. "Need some help?" Awkward smile!

Once Spinny was up, Marie put a hand on her waist to help steady her. But the hand was quickly withdrawn and he resorted to holding both of Spinny's hands with both of his. He looked down at his feet, rather than at her.

"Yeah, I almost slipped on my way over here," he said, still fairly quiet. Interestingly, Marie didn't feel nearly as nervous with her this time, as opposed to when he had been with her the last few times. After a moment or two, he actually looked up and made eye contact with her. Amazing!

"You look kinda cold," he added.

"Well, yeah, but..." ice was not very effective against water. "I don't think I'm as cold as you are," he replied, keeping his hands around Spinny's.

Don't forget your manners, Marie.

"Oh, uh, are you okay? I mean, after falling..." he added, looking away.

"I'm...okay..." She replied with a nod. Aww Marie, you're such a gentleman! "Just...really...cold..."

"Hey, maybe we should go inside," he offered. Was Spinny speaking slower than normal...? Marie shrugged it off, and slowly started to lead her to the doors.

"Do you like hot chocolate?" he asked her, with a shaky smile.

Hot...chocolate? She knew what chocolates were, and also knew that they melt into liquid if they're too warm. She had seen so many disappointed faces with melted chocolate while she was out people-watching in the city...

"...How do...you...eat...hot...choco...late?" She asked as she followed Marie. "It...melts..when...hot..."

Marie was a big fan of sweets, clearly and chocolate was possibly one of the easiest way to his little heart. Hot chocolate was one of earth's greatest gifts, and Marie was a little shocked to find that Spinny... didn't know what it was.

"No, it's a drink. Have you ever had coffee...? I mean, basically, it's like warm milk and chocolate syrup or whatever, and they mix it together. Guaranteed to warm you up," he sputtered out all at once. Once they were inside again, Marie let go of Spinny's hands and quickly shoved them in his pockets. "They probably have some in the cafeteria. You know where that is...?"

Coffee... She has seen teachers drink them, but they never smelled nice enough for her to try it.

"I've...seen people drink them..." she replied. Mainly during the morning! Listening to the bit about getting warmed up did get her to become curious of this mysterious melted chocolate syrup with milk.

"The cafeteria...is over..this way..." Spinny directed the other as she pointed at the direction where the cafeteria was, and started moving towards their new destination.

Marie took Spinarak's directions, and began leading her that way. He looked back at her shyly to double check that he was headed in the right direction. He hadn't been to the cafeteria yet, and by default, had absolutely no idea where this is.

"It's good. You'll like it. I mean, do you like sweet things?" he asked her, quieting down a little.

Spinarak gave a few energetic nods. She loved sweets so much! She always had some sweets as dessert to go along with the meal Nancy served.

"I can't...wait to try..." She said, clasping her hands together as she imagined how it would taste like. Melted chocolate with milk mixed together... Her only worries were what if the drink was too hot? She'd probably end up burning her mouth and drop the cup and...oh no, she probably shouldn't think too much on this.

No sooner than later, the two safely arrived at the cafeteria.
