the pool- late at night haswetpokemon October 30 2010, 22:37:05 UTC
Misty was enjoying the night. She had to admit that she was a bit... wary during this very certain holiday, all things considered, but she was still having a nice time. It maintained a nice atmosphere outside- not too dangerous (yet?), but it had that air of spookiness. It was a pleasant level of it.

That didn't mean she wasn't still classically worried, but that was mainly because of the way the school is. So far, no mishaps, though. That was a good sign.

She approached the pool, clad in her little mermaid outfit. It was October and the night air came to a cold breeze. It was a bad idea to take a dip into the pool, but sticking her feet in and looking at the stars wouldn't hurt, right? That would be just fine.

She sank down, sat on the concrete, and dunked her feet inside. That was refreshing, she realized with a sigh. She was more than content.

Hopefully nothing would ruin her night...

Again, Leon had plans of hitting the bar. To get smashed in alcohol. And scare people.

Goddamn he's still on campus procrastinating!

He had just made a trip back home to change forms and clothes, now about to head out in his best Voltaire-ish look. There was a lot of noise, a lot of screaming and, just a lot of stuff going on, but things got quieter as he wandered near the pool. It hasn't been an idea hangout spot since the Kraken was released, but he saw a familiar woman sitting by there, looking up at the stars, and that made him look up, too.

They were so gorgeous.

He edged closer to the pool, standing next to where Misty was sitting. The water was reflecting the moonlight really nice, too.

"Did the rest of the school forget to vandalize or party up this part of campus?"

That was a voice she'd almost forgotten, but once she saw the face it belonged to, it all came back to her. Thankfully, she kind of liked Leon, so this worked well. As long as it wasn't anyone like Char, then she was pretty good! She wondered what that outfit was supposed to represent, though.

"If so, I hope they keep forgetting or I'll have to dunk them!" Misty laughed. "I couldn't let anyone touch this place... my paradise."

She took to the water like a fish. Even if she couldn't dive in, it was still so beautiful under the moonlight and stars.

"Are you having fun tonight?" It was Halloween, after all. It was all about having a good time.

"I better get to pitch in on the dunking, but I just love doing that!"

There really wasn't anyone Leon could bother to hate these days, but it could be that out of the thousand or so people in this school, Leon rarely interacts with anybody. But she looked like a girl that wouldn't try anything.

"I'm enjoying things," he replied to her question. "Kind of lame on the spook factor tonight aside from the hall decor, but it's not so bad!" He took a minute to roll up his pant legs to the knees and sit beside her with his feet in the water. "What about you?"

Of course Misty wouldn't. The worst danger she'd pose is if Leon pissed her off. Okay, that was kind of easy to do with some people, but Leon doing so probably wouldn't happen.

She didn't really mind the company, nor did she mind 'pitching in on the dunking'. Haha, he was... pretty interesting. She found the guy to be good company.

"I'm having a good time! I'm not going anywhere near the city because I have no idea what kinds of thugs might be around today," she admitted. "But... I've been around campus a lot today. I love the decorations! I think they aren't bad!" She agreed. "I haven't been doing much to celebrate, though. Just indulging more than I usually do! There's just not a lot of candy that I like, though... except for classic chocolates. Don't all girls like chocolates?"

Especially when they came in little heart-shaped boxes, she thought with a giggle. But yes, Leon. "I don't know if you like candy, though. Some of it's too sweet for me."

Yeah, they'd probably be an awesome fighting duo if someone pissed them BOTH off!

"Fending off thugs is easy if you're quick to think. There's just also less candy out there you can feel confident in eating and my inner girl doesn't like to turn down chocolate."

A nice box of the most expensive liquor chocolates in the world sounded really nice in Leon's head right now, but he's a few months away from the season for that, now is he?

Wolfen and Starmie GOOOOOOOO.

"If I had to fend off any goons, I'd have my water Pokemon ready," she told him. "I'm a gym leader, so they're pretty strong! I'd just want to avoid it anyway. It's good to be safe!"

Misty then realized that he might not even know about Pokemon. Some people in the school were possibly still unfamiliar with them. It was honestly a surprise, considering how many of them are around.

"I mean, you do know what Pokemon training is, right?"

"I know the concept," Leon replied as a foot swayed lightly in the pool. "I was here on and off for several years; started off as some humanization counselling assistant and met a lot of Pokemon who talked of their trainers. There just hasn't been a great influx of actual trainers on campus until these recent years, so I haven't really seen much 'training' in action."

He exchanged glances a few times between the admitting pretty mermaid and the stars up in the sky. "What are gym leaders, though?"

The term probably slipped past him a few times, but all he knew was that some of the humans he met appeared to be prestigiously-professional trainers. Those being Brock, Giovanni, and now Misty.

Not knowing what a gym leader was familiar to her, too. Misty would just have to explain. Better than having to explain top-to-bottom what a trainer is, though.

"Gym leaders are very strong trainers in the Pokemon League. In the Pokemon League, you have to fight gym leaders to earn badges. Then you have to bring them to the Indigo Plateau, fight the top elite trainers of the region, and then fight the Champion to try to take the title of Champion! I remember even fighting the current Champion when he was getting his badges. You have to be really good to be Champion!"

Was that a dreamy sigh? Yes, that was a dreamy sigh. HMMM.

That sigh could mean anything to Leon. "Is the champion cute or are you just wishing to be a champoion yourself?"

Um. Yeah, sorry Leon, but she is NOT SPILLING THAT.

"Oh, I just... kind of do wish I could be Champion! It's such a big and important title, you know? It must be such a big duty, a-and... it's not that I think the Champion's cute at all!" AWKWARD LAUGH.

When suddenly, an invisible force shoved Leon from behind.

A glance around the pool area would reveal nothing, but perhaps if one looked closely in the surrounding bushes, they might see, for one brief instant, a smiling figure.

What the-

"HEY-" was all Leon could say before his face hit the cold water. It took him a moment to gather his bearings and stop splashing his arms around before he swam back to the surface and looked up at Misty's direction.

WHAT. Um, well, that was just... kind of... uh...

Who even did that?

"Hey, you jerk, what was-" Yet Misty turned around and only saw a kid. Some kid hiding in the bushes. It didn't last, though- once she blinked, she couldn't even see him anymore. Was she just seeing things? That was probably it.

She looked back over to Leon and extended a hand to help him out. "Are you okay?!"

"This doesn't surprise me one bit," he responsed in a deadpan tone. "But there goes my ensemble."

Instead of taking her hand that very moment, he dove back underwater and seconds later resurfaced with his tophat and threw it onto the concrete before finally accepting her help.

"At least I know I could still swim."

"I... guess that's a really good thing!" Misty laughed awkwardly, yanking him out and onto the concrete again. That was so strange. How did that even happen?

"What... could have even happened? You don't think a ghost did that, do you?" She questioned, glancing around. If something did that, it wasn't something that she was able to see.
