It was no secret that Brock loved camping. Camping was the best. Even if October was a little late to head out into the woods and sleep in tents, Pewter City's gym leader was hard-pressed to pass up an opportunity to camp. The fact that Red and Misty were along for the ride was just icing on the cake.
Brock, as a general rule, was always more than prepared for any given situation, and this camping trip was no exception. This was the perfect excuse for him to wear his camping vest, full of pocketknives and matches and string and other various and sundry things one might need on a weekend excursion into the wilderness. And that, of course, wasn't even half of what he'd managed to cram into his backpack.
As the group hiked higher into the mountains, Brock could not help but agree with the general sentiment of the group. It really was a very nice day, after all, warm for October. "We lucked out with the weather, really. Doesn't it get cold around here?"
