Knuckles is just kind of contemplating all of this. He never knew his parents, or why they left or even what they were like. He was pretty sure they weren't ALIVE because... well. The thought just never occurred to him. All the Echidna of Angel Island were dead, apart from him.

The lecture made Leon begin thinking back at things. It was just barely clear in his head, maybe because it was over thirty years ago, or maybe he just knows it at all because of being constantly reminded of it by his hometown locals.

But it's not the same kind of parental matter. Nothing worth talking about.

Mac could've left, but he didn't. He knew he had to get over it, he had to. He cried enough as a kid and he was sick of getting in the dumps during specific holidays when he was reminded. So he toughed it out and sat with a blank expression. Mac had felt separate from his parents when they were alive because of a number of things. And before he knew it, they were just gone.

Knowing the story behind Mac's family tragedy... well. Knuckles couldn't help but feel worried and concerned, considering today's topic. And it wasn't that he didn't want to be comforting. He did. He would like nothing more than to make his buddy feel better. He really didn't have much idea how. Especially not in front of all these people.

So, he settled for punching Mac in the shoulder in a firm, reassuring manner.

The punch got him out of his thought process and he turned around to find a Knuckles. He smiled at him, letting Knuckles know that he's gonna be alright and he thanks him for being supportive.

Falco kept a bored look throughout the class, as he is a master of bored looks, but at least he was here, right? Even if he knew the subject matter was going to be parents.

And it's not just about Silver, either. He won't be admitting the other thing it is, though, any time soon. :'( Parental issues run in the family man. They don't excuse his actions, just saying.
