Okay, this was all... very far from literature. Was her instructor really knowing what he was doing? Selene was really beginning to question this.
Regardless, she was one to do as told, even when it looked very suspicious. That surely wouldn't end well for her. And thus, she began to shape the clay.
It wound up in a very terribly-molded stick figure that could be placed into the village. She wasn't very good at the arts.
Selene gave a smile, slightly forced due to her confusion, but partially genuine nonetheless. This was just-
"Ah, yes, I do quite like it~ I hadn't believed I'd be able to do this well," she commented. It still wasn't really that great, though, but to her, it was better than she thought she could do.

Or, no, maybe it would lead into clay sculptures, somehow. Goombario really didn't get it, but still wanted to save the questions until later; it was mentioned earlier this class would be special, at any rate.
Artistic endeavors don't go well for someone with terrible hand dexterity. He eventually made something passable as a human, although one leg was longer than the other, one shoulder was notably lower than it should have been, and the nose was unrealistically pointy. To his credit, he had managed to put a beard and hat on his person.
"I think it's good enough. I haven't exactly done something like that before, so yeah." His own words surprised him a little, as he knew how odd it sounded to have a student that didn't do a lot of arts and crafts. Handlessness seemed to cause that sort of thing.
Bonechill snapped and clay appeared on everyone's desks.
"You will each make a person out of clay to put in this village."
He gestured to a small-scale village on his desk. Was that there a minute ago?
"Begin."

It was quite grotesque, in his rude opinion, though he supposed Selene had tried her hardest.
"Tell me, Ms. Selene, do you feel quite satisfied with your creation?"

"Mr.... Goombario, is it? What do you think of your creation?"

He managed to mold a little man with a hat and a mustache, even if it did look a bit flat.
