Linebeck noticed Jolene sway a little, and snickered a little. But he too, was a bit tipsy. But he was a bit better at hiding it - as college drinking contests had made him learn. Still, the rum did make him speak a little too much.

"Yeah, cause, y'know, you never think that your friend is gonna steal everythin' ya got!" she hiccuped and laughed at herself, "I think I'm getting drunk. This stuff must be stronger than Beedle's normal supply!"

"S'guess...if it's imported, it may've been the better rum...not the weak stuff," he looked a bit guiltily at Jolene's drunkened form, but his condition was no better. "Buuut let's forgit that huh? I jest was a...uhhh..."

"So, Linebeck!" she tried her best to get to another topic, "I hear you're a doctor now!"

He took another swig despite his consious saying no - besides, the former captain wanted an alcohol binge.

"Oh...." she thought, trying to remember the students' actual names, "Um, That girl with the......... the yellow one... um.... Miss Cherry Pop. And, uh.... them little Mushroom kids were confused about spores. Then there was that frog who didn't know there was more than one position, and... yeah," she sighed, "Them kids is stupid."

He tottered a little, almost knocking over his pile of books that served as his chair, but he righted himself (somewhat) with the bookcase behind him. Then walking over to his desk, he unsteadily opened his rupee candy jar and took a green one out to chew on. Then he held the jar precariously to Jolene's red face.
"Want a lemon drop?"

"N'problem. I'm not that dumb ya know..."

"Ow," she muttered before rubbing her head, which had hit the chalk board, "Damn chair..."

Usually he'd have cared more for the condition of the chair that Jolene fell off from, but due to his inebriated state, all he could do is gawk at Jolene.
"...ye okay, mate?"
Reply
She took another swig. "I think I broke yer chair," she added.
