"Outside. The halls are no place for you right now..."
She sighed and once again curled up, not in self-defense but more in a tired sort of way. "I don't understand it. Whatever's happened to us seems to be beyond fixing with simple humanization. I tried."

They had moved about ten feet.

"I think you did it rather nicely during that whole body-swap business. Eventually, anyway." She laughed to herself, a series of short squeaks. "I can't believe that was so long ago already..."
Blacky watched the walls creep by ever-so-slowly and wondered if she was faster on her little feet than poor Flint was. SIGH. Not that she was in any particular rush to get anywhere.

Woop! And there went Blacky, thrown right off Flint's head and into the wall. She let out a pained squeak and curled up again until she finally realized what had happened and why.

This... was sad. This was beyond sad! And if it had been anybody but Flint Blacky might have even laughed at them on the inside, but as it was she felt nothing but guilt. He'd waste away and starve to death after wallowing in his own filth and there was nothing she could do... oh...
"You wait here. I'll... ah... I'll find someone large enough to help!" Hopefully. Plan B was finding a plastic bag and using it to haul grass and flowers to Flint to eat.

"Yeah, that might up. I'll just... keep working on this."
