Oh no oh no oh no he couldn't hear him. This was a most perilously perilous situation full of the utmost peril.

"Char!" he peeped.

Oh gosh that foot was coming right for him he was just going to have to leaaaaaap! In a fit of incredibly amazing luck, the tiny frog managed to scramble on to the top of the dragon's foot. So much wind.

"Char!" Why couldn't he be louder oh no everything was vibrating with each stomp.

Eventually, she noticed an additional weight on her foot. Something so tiny it was almost unnoticeable... but kind of moist and cold. Samus craned her neck down and stared at the tiny yellow frog creature hanging onto her dragon foot. Apparently making tiny yellow frog creature sounds at her.

...and she tried to shake it off.

Wow good thing he didn't really have a neck to snap!

"S-StooOOoooOooop t-thaaAaAAt!!"

It was not letting go. For a moment, it almost sounded like it was saying something intelligible. Or screaming it... Samus lifted her foot higher and gently pried the frog off her foot with her claws as best as her three fingers would allow her.

So now she could stare at it without having to crane her neck down and hear it much more clearly.

This was much more acceptable. Bulba clung onto the claw with all of his tiny might, hoping these new little feet of his weren't going to give out and leave him falling down to the ground. The ground was awfully far away right now.

When all of the whooshing stopped he blinked and tried to find Char's fa--AAHH there it was. "Char!" He tried chirping again. "Char it's me ba!"

Char...? This little frog thought... Oh. That made sense, actually. How frustrating. She frowned, realizing that this was someone Char knew and if she had to make an educated guess based on that and the verbal tic...

"Bulba...?"

Bulba blinked one eye. And then he blinked the other eye. That was weird. What was weirder still was that the voice coming out of Char was not Char's voice.

"Yes! But, er, I think I got the wrong Charizard sorry!"

A beat.

"... Do I know you?"

That was some very talented blinking action.

"...It's Samus." The Char not Char answered reluctantly. "What happened?"

Wow that was weird.

"Wow that's weird." Said the frog clutching the dragon's claw, because that wasn't weird at all. "... I have absolutely no idea bul."

Something about this was so very weird.

"That makes two of us." At least there was a tiny amount of comfort learning she was not alone at falling victim to another one of the school's crazy events. "What do you remember before you changed?"

Bulba thought about it, trying to figure out if there was anything actually strange that he could remember about what had happened. "As far as I can tell, I was just taking a walk ba. I felt a little funny and then I was a whole lot closer to the ground than I usually am."

That wasn't terribly helpful.

With nothing else to go on at the moment she thought should try to investigate the scene of the crime for any clues. With care, she placed Bulba on her head where there was less chance of her possibly stepping on him again.

"Tell me where it happened."

He automatically gravitated towards one of the horns on her head so he had something he could actually hold on to.

"The main courtyard. I was heading in the direction of the weight room from the dorms ba."

To the courtyard they started to go, one lumbering orange dragon who was poor with small talk and her tiny little yellow horn-hat who was small and could talk.

Bulba didn't really mind the lack of talking to be had. He was just glad that there wasn't any chance of getting squished up there.

Then they were there! Bulba hopped around a bit, trying to remember where exactly it had happened. "I think it was over there," peep peep. "Over by those bushes!"

An inspection of said bushes yielded nothing particularly unusual. Nor did the bushes next to them... or ground next to those. A tiny growl.

Unable to come up with any answers she offered what she had experienced. "When it happened to me, I was just coming in the parking lot on my bike."
