WHAT. When did the school get a tauros?! At least, Blacky thought it was one. It was certainly enormous enough.
"Don't-- Don't come any closer!" She wondered if she could shoot her spikes out at it. if she could, she sure hadn't figured out how.

"...Blacky?"

Blacky knew that voice. Blacky looked up at the hooved beast, settling down for a moment.
"Flint? Is that you?"
And then there was another clap of thunder, and she rolled into a quivering ball again.

He paused when Blacky rolled herself up again. "Uh."

She uncurled, snuffling indignantly. "It's a defense mechanism, isn't it? ...I can't control it. It's because I'm afraid of thunder."
She wiggled her spiky little butt and grabbed onto the fur around one of Flint's hooves, climbing right up his leg with surprising ease. She took a nice comfortable spot right between his horns.
"At least you have hair now."
Reply
"H-hey!" Flint said indignantly. Even though she was right. "I... uh, I don't think I can get turned around in here."
Reply
"Keep going straight, then. There's more than one way in, silly."
She burrowed in the mess of wild buffalo hairdo, letting only her snout poke out. "I'm glad I met you first, instead of... somebody who eats hedgehogs. Do you suppose other people have been affected by whatever's going on this time?"

He didn't know what he found more outrageous: that he was a buffalo, or that he was getting used to this weird stuff.
Reply
"Most people, anyway..." She was about to ask if he'd experienced hallucinations too, but... that wasn't really something she wanted to bring up anytime soon. No matter how curious she was.
"Anyway, we can't just stand here. How about... Go into an open room and turn around in there, then come back out and go toward the entrance without stairs."
Reply
"I don't. See any open doors." No, it had not occurred to him that he could very easily break one down if he wanted to.
Reply
But it did occur to Blacky!
"Goodness, look at you! You'd have no trouble just ramming one down if you wanted to. Ah... I suppose it would mean more work for you once this wears off, but it's better than being trapped, isn't it? Actually, if you're going to charge head-first into anything I should move so I don't get crushed..."
She de-tangled herself from the headfluff and picked a spot on his back instead.

Flint wasn't too keen on tearing down a door, but he figured he could make Lighter fix it later. He turned and aligned himself with the closest classroom, then with the force of a... large buffalo, went tearing into the room. The door splintered into a million pieces... as did several desks and the podium.

Blacky squealed and curled up again. She wasn't a fan of doors exploding into tiny pieces on a normal day, but this time it was so much bigger.
When the sound died down, she dared to take a peek at the destruction and chaos Flint left in his wake. ...Wait a minute. WAIT A MINUTE.
"T-this is my room! Oh... Flint..." SIGH. "Try not to destroy too much else on your way out."
Reply
Now came the hard part. He started to turn around veeeery slowly, but even at the speed of molasses he still knocked over about five more desks.
"...I'll pick those up later."
And they were off again on their wild adventure in the hallway.

"It's alright..." Well. It was kind of a pain, considering how her office had been completely destroyed by two little hooligans just a few months ago, but unlike them, Flint couldn't really help himself. She was just amazed at how well he handled walking on four legs - especially four hooves on tile. A slipping and sliding buffalo could be disastrous for everyone involved.
She reclaimed her spot on his head. "Next time you have to do that, just go for Uxie's room." If that happened, it would make this whole ordeal totally worth it.

For a brief moment he hoped they were going somewhere with tall grass for... some reason.
