What? Numbers posting a class log?!

Who: Olimar and his class
What: Biology
When: Friday 11th, 2010
Where: Olimar's classroom (It's in the science hall)

Olimar's classroom wasn't exactly the most exciting one. There were posters related to biology and nature on the walls, and science equipment on shelves, like microscopes and beakers. There were also books as well, even though they mostly went unread. Basically every high school science classroom ever.

A rather short middle aged man stood in front of the teacher's desk. His full name was written on the back whiteboard as neatly as possible. He patiently waited for the room to fill with students. His last name wasn't very interesting and looked kind of dumb or alien.

"Greetings," he said. "And welcome to Biology. My name is Olimar, but I have no qualms with 'Mr. Olimar' or 'Professor Olimar.' This is my fourth year teaching at Smash Academy, and I hope to make this year of Biology gratifying. Now, what is Biology? Well, to put it in a broad definition..." The teacher turned around to the other half of the white board, merely drawing a small globe. "Other sciences are dedicated to math and formulas. What we'll go over in biology, being a natural science, is a different kind of equation. We'll be looking at all the living organisms that make up our world! We'll start from cells and eventually bring our focus to plants and animals and the ecosystems they all inhabit." While talking, he drew little examples of animals and plants on the board, if just for emphasis. Olimar turned back towards the class.

"As a young lad, I always excelled in science, but Biology touched my heart the most. Perhaps it has to do with the fact our subjects are very animate and live and breathe as we do. Biology is intricate and can be dissected into many disciplines, but we'll go through a broad assortment of subjects this year. Don't be alarmed - I make my assignments as coherent and simple as possible. I may be firm, but I'm certainly just. And while my teaching methods are rather orthodox, I am permitted to give as many lab and hands-on assignments as I please. I have learned through my years that a large number of students work best with things they can see and hold. Everyone has their own preferred learning techniques, and I make sure to accentuate on that."

With that, Olimar erased his drawings on the board. "For today, we will only have two goals in mind. The first will be to introduce ourselves. This may sound trivial, but it's beneficial for classmates to form bonds. It makes assignments that require a partner much easier. And second, I will be going over laboratory safety precautions. I am required to test everyone on safety procedures before permitting lab use. If you fail the test, you will have to retake it until you get a passing grade. I strongly discourage cheating, as this is not a test you gain a grade on. This is merely to ensure no one is hurt when we have a lab. I will be taking attendance, but feel free to introduce yourself in any way you would like. ...As long as it's class-appropriate."

((Because I don't have the list of people posting and they can post whenever, just post in attendance with the given that he called their name. Think of this as a great excuse to build new interactions and have your character introduce themselves to people or get to know others better. Don't worry about order. Nothing says the posts are in a certain order. That would be too hard and unfair.))
