A beautiful morning, a perfect day to run

It was a gorgeous Friday morning outside of Final Destination City. The sun shone bright, the sky was blue, and there were a few cottony clouds in the sky overhead, just enough to provide the occasional shade. In the shadow of the Mountains of Convenience, there lay beautiful fields of grass, and on a particular stretch, there was a large oak. A Murkrow hopped on its branches, gleefully chasing squirrels around until they hid in a knothole,or tricked it into smacking into a branch. Underneath the boughs sat a large Nidoking and Nidoqueen, trying to sit still despite the overwhelming urge to move about. The Rhyhorn near them didn't feel it as bad, but even he pawed at the ground slightly.
"Calm yourselves; we're early. You'll get to run soon enough." Giovanni said, sitting alongside them. Even so, he patted the Nidoqueen on the shoulder, "Looking forward to running around an actual field with no trees to crash into, girl?" Nidoqueen nodded happily, nuzzling against him. A few years ago she wouldn't have been able to do that. Her trainer opened a bright silver pocket watch. "Almost time..." He looked over the field and scratched her behind the ear as they waited.
