Fresh air would be nice. She had classes to plan for, and being stuck inside recently made her feel trapped. Somehow the fact she had a job at the school gave her a boost of confidence, ever after making an idiot out of herself during the last week with her drunken debauchery. She barely remembered anything from it, which didn't help.
Lash hadn't heard about the festival at all, but now that she stood outside admiring the trees, even she couldn't help but let out a small gasp of delight. It didn't take too long for the girl to find an optimal tree, and gingerly jumped up to sit on the bottom lower branches rather comfortably, a book in her hands as she wrote down notes. For some reason, being in the tree felt much more enjoyable now.
She didn't even notice he growing amount of petals that were landing in her hair.

And here was a friendly knock on the trunk of the tree Lash was perched in, and if she looked down she would see a familiar redhead grinning and waving.
With a surprising amount of dexterity and strength, Lash managed to push herself on the tree branch, so she was dangling from her legs and starring at Claus upside down. It seemed a lot easier than before. Maybe she had just gotten stronger over the past two years here. No matter.
"Hey!" She smiled, her hands still clasping the book or else she would have waved. "Didn't expect such nice weather today."
"Yeah, I guess spring really has arrived. And not a moment too soon, I was starting to get really tired of the winter weather."
He tilted his head at the book she was holding, which was awkward considering he was right side up and she was upside down. He gave up on trying to get a peek at what it was and decided to just ask.
"Oh well, um..." she pushed herself back up, and put the pencil behind her left ear, giving him the book. Inside was a sheet of paper with huge list of explosive materials, a laid out grid with letters and numbers and some drawings of shovels. "I'm planning for the Demolitions class. You've seen the news, right?"
"Welll it depends if you do good," she giggled. "I don't want to play favorites too much. Maybe next year, if I manage to keep the job, but with a genius for one such as myself, it should be easy, tee hee hee."
"Well with me in charge, I'll make sure that it's going to be even more interesting," she agreed. Yeap, feeding her own ego, that was bound to help her confidence. "So anyway, they have trees like this back at your home?"
Pit had been taking a long stroll through the flaky pink sheets of flora, taking in a world full of rosy snowfall that took his breath away. Amid the mottled view he caught sight of Lash- oh, Lash. Lash. Lately she had been a bit elusive. Happy to see her after a small while, sure; his cheeks matched the color of the pretty trees as he contemplated his next actions with his knees straight and knocked like iron fenceposts.
He remembered the text on the computer screen a few days ago and wondered what it was about; did it speak truth or seep jaded misconception? Lash was out of it, but those words had an effect on him nonetheless. It changed the way he thought about his friend to a degree. Deciding to proceed but with a wary conscience, he smiled and approached the two. "Hi, Claus! Lash!" he called with a breezy wave. "Look at all the petals! It's like a brand new world out here! I love it!" The angel laughed and batted at one of the drifting confetti-like flecks.
Claus turned at the sound of Pit's voice, smiling. Unlike Pit, he hadn't read the drunken confession on Lash's journal, and had no idea how the girl really felt about "claos", as well as the angel in front of them now. He gave the other boy a nod.
"I know, it's pretty cool, right? I love it when the trees come back into bloom."
Somewhere in the distance, close enough to see if you were paying attention but no where close enough to bear any real significance to the thread beyond this line of text, Maxwell walked by with a mop. Anime cons were kind of fascinating, really.
"I just like trees that aren't blown up," the only female of the three quipped in her usual fashion. "Black Hole wasn't exactly known for our great gardening, if you catch my drift. I always found it odd that I liked being in the forests. I guess it has something to do with my Commanding Officer powers."
It seemed like the perfect time for Lash's chao to peek from her hair. Maybe he had gotten annoyed at being upside down twice by now, as he hung on a strand of her hair, before flying gently down to the ground. He looked a lot different than his original form.

"Actually, yeah! I meant to congratulate you on that. This means I'll be getting an A, right?"
A laugh. "What are friends for, if not easy A's?"

"I'll have to make sure to do awesome, then. I can think of few subjects that I would enjoy more than Demolitions, to be honest!"

Claus scratched his head. "I dunno... it's kind of hard to beat a class where you just destroy things."
