It was time for Lash to test out her newest invention.

The snowball thrower!

It started as a single hit to the window...and then...like rain.

At first Raiden ignored the faint plap he heard on his window. Sounded like something hit it, but then it stopped. Hm.

But then suddenly A BARRAGE OF HITTING SOUNDS oh it sounded almost like gunfire or something it was very disturbing to Raiden and his attempts at Contra high-scoring.

He cautiously peeked outside of his door.

PAFF!

Lash let loose a single snowball aimed at his chest. This one came from her own arm.

WHAM! Oof, that was smart. He coughed once or twice, having the wind knocked out of him on that one and sent a glare in the general direction from which the dastardly snowball had came.

And he saw through his glare, a Lash!

"Lash!?" He dusted the remains off his sweater, "Snowballs!? Really?!"

"Tee hee hee!" The perpetrator had already bent down and scooped up enough snow for another ball. "It's probably one of the last days where it's warm enough for the ice crystals to bind properly together and allow easier creations of spherical monstrosities, can you really blame me?" She was throwing her weapon up and down menacingly.

"What's the mater, are you scared of one little girl?"

"Of course not." Raiden barked back. "But you're one little girl and..." He squinted at that machine she had with her and pointed at it in a most accusatory fashion. It looked like a tennis ball machine only for snowballs dear god. "Whatever that is!"

Raiden had stepped fully outside, leaving behind the cover of his dorm so he could make sure Lash heard every whiny word of his, which was probably a huge mistake. "You're cheating!"

"Nuh-uh!" She grinned as he stepped out. Baaaad mistake.

"That was just to get your attention. I don't need a machine to beat you." The snowball landed in her gloves for a final time, as she backed up and threw it at him, aiming right next to his neck, so the snowball would move near him closely without touching him. Giggling and taking off before it had found its mark, she pushed a button at the snowball machine who suddenly grew winter skis and took off behind her.

"Bet you're bad at this game!" What's a little taunting between friends, huh?

Raiden craned his neck to ensure he didn't eat that one. Raiden didn't give chase but he ran out into the open and paused there.

Fine, he'd indulge in her childish little game. Just for a little bit. He wasn't afraid.

Raiden scooped some snow up from the ground and compacted it into a ball which he waited a few dramatic moments a tumble weed made of snow blew right between them. before launching it at Lash.

Pow!

The impact of the snowball was right in the middle of her back, causing Lash to jump up from his aim and into the snow. She used the momentum to roll herself back into a frontal position again, still kneeling.

"Oh, tough boy eh? Alright then, blondie. Let's dance." She scooped up more snow and threw it at him.

"Hah!" That hit felt good. When she threw hers, similarly Raiden dodged out of the way with a roll and scooped up some more snow in his hands with an oddly fluid grace.

He let another one wail at her legs.

Time seemed to slow down, if only for a few seconds, as the snowball slowly went towards Lash and she moved her feet away at the right moment. In the same speed, she rolled in the snow, as she used the momentum to finish rolling up another snowball with her hands.

Getting up, she lunged it at him.

And this music was playing.

It was as if time had slowed down! Raiden bent over backwards and then put his hands to the ground and kicked his feet up over his head to avoid the next attack. He took that opportunity to scoop snow in his hand and take a poorly aimed potshot at Lash while still in mid-air.

She saw a super slow-mo opportunity when it was offered to her. Bending down, and seeing him make his move, she scooped up another snowball and aimed it directly at Raiden's open extremities from being in mid-air.

The janitor's own snowball exploded on her right arm and she was pushed back slightly.

The snowball was sailing through the air, seemingly in slow motion. It came closer and closer to the target. Raiden simply couldn't dodge such a precise shot to his...

He landed on the snow, grabbing his crotch in pain.
