She couldn't decide if she felt uncomfortable having him talk to her in such a way. He was being comforting, which wasn't what she expected. How did she expect him, however? The academy had changed him. She'd seen him as fearsome when she was younger, and expected him one day to rule with an iron fist. The world would one day be beneath his grasp and she would watch from his side as he embraced the idea of conquest. That was the picture she had of her leader, her esteemed king.

Her hand slid down his arm and took his instead, interlocking her fingers with his. She wouldn't ask permission for it, hadn't even considered it, really. It had just simply happened. It wasn't as though she hadn't grown up with the knowledge that it wasn't okay to hold hands when she was afraid. In this moment, it wasn't like that. Nabooru felt like there were things her movements could say that she couldn't. Or she was simply reassuring him.

She was quiet for a few moments as she tipped her head to the side. Did he know how much she liked it when he sounded that way? Soft, tender, and ginger... It really made her think. It made little butterflies creep up and a lot of her arrogance took a backseat.

"I don't know what I should call you. Perhaps Professor Dragmire...?"
