A weekend in the woods!

Where: Some campsite somewhere in some wooded area.
When: September 12th into the 13th.

Well sorry, Goose. But try having meetings with people like Misty and you'll inevitably learn a few beauty tips. Whether you wanted to or not.

For the most part, Surge was pretty oblivious to Goose's panting. It wasn't until they could finally see the cliff from afar that he noticed. Glancing back, he blinked in surprise. "Oh... Uh... Do you want to stop for a minute?"

"Ehh, we can go 'head and stop for a bite t' eat," Goose decided, taking a seat on the ground below them and setting down his bag. He pulled out the container of already cooked sausages and began to slowly munch on them, only having brought those and the biscuits with them.

... That was when he noticed something nearby. A Poliwag.

Oh boy, he had an idea. He snuck up behind and grabbed it while Surge wasn't looking, making sure to seal his fingers around its lips so it couldn't use water gun efficiently. He held it behind his back and stepped up to his boyfriend.

"Matt, I found somethin' I might need ya' to take a look at. Kinda strange, just found it on the ground somewhere." He was trying SO hard not to start laughing.

Sitting down, Surge immediately went for the food. He was so preoccupied that he hadn't noticed Goose and the Poliwag. So when the pilot spoke up, he looked over questioningly. "Huh?"

"What is it?" he frowned, just about to bite into one of the sausages. He was sort of hungry, but he supposed eating could wait. "What did ya find?"

"This!"

With that, Goose brought the Poliwag forward and let go of its lips. It let loose quite a water gun right at Surge's face. It then escaped out of Goose's grip and ran off, not wanting to encounter these dudes again. Was this the same Poliwag from yesterday? Perhaps.

He then reacted like the sweet and pure man he was. How? By bursting out laughing at his little ploy of revenge.

The lieutenant just blinked as he got a face full of water. He hadn't realized what had happened until after the Poliwag had escaped. Sputtering a little, Surge attempted to wipe his face dry.

"Alright, alright," he rolled his eyes, "You got me. Happy now?" Although he acted as if he grumpily went back to eating, he was inwardly chuckling. In all honestly, he really had deserved that.

Finishing up his food, he responded, "Now that we're even, ready to continue?"

"Well damn, sooooorry, but ya' did it to me first," Goose shrugged, still unable to keep himself from snickering. He finished up his own food and then gave Surge a nod, ready to continue on.

Then a Diglett came by and also Mudslap'd Surge to make them even more even the end I mean no

It didn't take them too much longer to reach the cliff. Goose stood at the tip of it and glanced all about, amazed the view. "Daaaamn. Looks nice from up here!"

"Doesn't it?" Surge agreed. From the top of the cliff, they could see pretty much all of the woods as well as the river that curved around it. Off in the distance were the tall buildings of FDC.

The lieutenant took a deep breath. This was just the sort of outdoorsy excursion that he had needed. "We'll hafta keep this place in mind if we ever wanna go campin' again."

"We've gotta," Goose agreed, glancing down at the river below. The river did seem pretty deep, and with the correct dive, he would be alright, so he decided that he'd go with what they had suggested.

He removed his shirt and backed up a little, before jumping from the cliff in a curled position. With a 'YEEHAW!', he splashed into the water, careful not to hurt himself on the river bed. He rose from the water and waved to Surge from the little strip of the river.

Chuckling, Surge watched Goose leap off the cliff. At least now he was sure that it would be safe. Waving back to the pilot, the lieutenant took off his jacket and shirt.

He walked away from the cliff a little, before turning and running full force. As he jumped into the air, he curled himself up into a ball. Although he tried his best to be aware of the river bed, he was focused more on aiming than safety. Plunging into the water, a large splash erupted from where he landed. Which just happened to be near the other man.

Surfacing, he replied, "That is how you do a cannonball."

"Pff-pfff," Goose sputtered, some water having gotten up into his nose a little. Ow, that was never any fun. He gave Surge a devious smirk and splashed him right in the face. "Not bad! Kinda expected that from ya!"

He then dove under the water and splished and splashed around. He swam right behind Surge, popped out of the water, and threw a tiny wave of water at him yet again.

"Hah!"

Oh so that's how it was going to be. A tiny voice in the back of Surge's head had told him that this would inevitably turn into another water fight, but he didn't particularly mind. Besides, he was always up for a challenge.

He did not expect the sneak attack from behind. Coughing up some water, he grinned and retaliated by splashing the pilot right back. While Goose was hopefully distracted, Surge dived under the water. He circled around the younger man and simply waited. If this was going to be a successful attack, he'd have to wait for the perfect moment.

"Ah, hey-! Eh?" Goose blinked, realizing that his boyfriend wasn't anywhere in sight. He had to be below the water. He glanced around and noticed him circling him. Of course, he couldn't do too much unless he brought him back up.

With that, Goose attempted to grab him by the arm and bring him back up for a splash. Whether or not his aim for his arm would be right remained to be seen.

Unfortunately for Goose, he missed the lieutenant's arm. Also unfortunately for Goose, the fact that he was attempting to grab the other man meant that he wasn't entirely balanced. Surge decided it was the right time to strike.

In a flash, the older man grasped the pilot's legs and pulled. If all went well, Goose would be dragged under the water. Of course Surge wasn't a total douche, so he allowed time for the pilot to realize what was happening before he fell. Not enough time to actually do anything about it, but at least the younger man would be able to gasp for air before plunging underwater.

Goose could only let in a tiny gasp of air before he felt himself go under, splashing into the water with no problem. He rose out and spat out a bit of water that had gone into his mouth. He laughed and dove back into the water while Surge didn't have his eyes on him.

Hey Surge, if you looked behind you, you might see a Goosey in a reclining pose in the water, just... relaxing under there for as long as he could hold his breath (not very long at all, but still). He waved casually, this big old grin on his face.

If Surge hadn't been underwater, he would have laughed at Goose's relaxed position. Instead, he simply smirked and shook his head. After a moment or two, he surfaced.

Looking up to the sky, he decided they should probably head back. "Hey," he spoke up. "Is there anythin' else you wanna do while we're out here? If not, we should probably grab our stuff and head back to the campsite."

Goose rose from the water pretty quickly after these events, having been unable to hold his breath for far too long. He squeezed the water out of his hair, responding as he did. "Eh, nothin' much else. Guess we're just 'bout done here!"

He retrieved his half of their stuff and they went ahead to head on back. "Ya' wanna eat or somethin' before we get to sleep? We're probably gonna hafta' wake up kinda early to get to work tomorrow." He didn't know about Surge, but he had things to do in his office tomorrow except it'll be different from the usual, LOL JOB SWITCH.
