Boldly going where no man has gone before...

What: Captain Falcon may or may not have sometimes wondered about the hows and whys of his amazing ability to spontaneously combust himself. Samus offers a possible explanation but, a battery of tests will have to be performed first. In other words, this is a log in which Falcon has things stuck in him. Probably painful things.
Who: Two people ( Read more... )

Since accidentally sending a teacher to the hospital with mysterious second-degree burns back in glorious freshman year of high school, Falcon had always kind of wondered why he could set himself on fire. His parents couldn't do it, nor could any of his relatives (to his knowledge), so for all he knew, it wasn't a hereditary thing. Internova had given him the opportunity to figure it out, but he'd outright refused. Maybe, years later, he regretted that a little, mostly in the sense that he had no idea why or how he could do what he did.

But then he would remember that if he had agreed, he would have become a guinea pig to people who would, in all probability, take advantage of him.

He'd gone on to hone his strange power, develop it, but in the process, he'd lost the how. Falcon only really started thinking about it again when he'd started talking about it. With Samus. Who had a lot of fancy alien medial equipment in her gunship. So yeah, he was going to be a guinea pig, but this time it was of his own volition, and with someone he ( ... )

"..." Was she going to fall for it? It was Falcon she'd humor him if it was a prank or not.

Samus thought about it for a second and then... LOOKED BEHIND.

BUT little did Samus know that IN ACTUAL REALITY...

He was not behind her. He was in front of her. Hidden from view behind a tree. A tree large enough to conceal him, thanks very much. When she turned and...LOOKED BEHIND, he stepped out from his hiding place and jogged up to the gunship.

"Whoops, I lied. Down here."

WHAT A SURPRISE, SAMUS TOTALLY DID NOT EXPECT THAT AT ALL. Oh you fooled her good, Captain.

The gunship seemed to mysteriously come alive without any other commands and the lower hatch opened for Falcon. "Oh, you fooled me good, Captain." She smirked and disappeared over the ledge and through the top hatch.

Once inside she unnecessarily poked at some of the equipment hanging from various compartments in the dashboard or in the ceiling. She had prepared it all ahead of time but to be frank she'd never really done this sort of thing to anyone other than herself. Healing stasis aside... "You sure you're ready for this?"

The ship itself also took a moment to recognize and greet the new warm body present, "Greetings, Captain."

He basked in the success for a few moments before entering the gunship, feeling satisfaction give way to a small pang of uneasiness as he took stock of all the awful, terrible things he was sure she was going to stick in him. It had been easy enough to agree to it when they were talking nonchalantly in Biomech, but now that he was actually seeing everything, he was beginning to have second thoughts. Falcon had to remind himself that this was (hopefully) going to be beneficial.

"Hi, Computer." He said, sliding into Samus' general vicinity and hoping that the gunship didn't mind a brief show of affection. Hello kisses were very important, okay, and Falcon wouldn't deny that he wanted a bit of reassurance. Especially when he saw the oh God what is that. Her question really did nothing to ease him as he cocked an eyebrow in the direction of some particularly nasty-looking instruments. Today really was about business, wasn't it? But no pain no gain. He could already tell that would be the mantra of this whole ordeal ( ... )
