It's stargazing time!ihasalumaAugust 25 2009, 06:31:00 UTC
Rosalina stood at the edge of the Observatory, a group of Lumas following behind. They are waiting for the others to return from their exploration of her home. Twenty minutes have passed, meaning that it's time to stargaze. Will they enjoy it? She's positive that they will, but she will know for sure in due time.

Selene came a bit late, obviously pretty fascinated with the Observatory. Perhaps... a bit too much so, explaining why it took her a few minutes more to arrive. Whoops.
She stepped close to Rosalina and looked up at the stars above. They looked so close and clear from here! How pretty! "My... what a beautiful sight," She remarked.
Re: It's stargazing time!ihasalumaAugust 25 2009, 20:08:47 UTC
Rosalina nodded as the Comet Observatory began moving, giving those involved a closer view of the stars and other things that takes residence in space.
"Indeed. It always amazes me everyday when I stargaze. There's always something new for the eyes to see."
Re: It's stargazing time!crescentpanelsAugust 25 2009, 20:14:36 UTC
Selene didn't expect the observatory to literally begin moving throughout the sky! This only made the sight and the thrill of it all the more wonderful. She was having a great time already.
"There always is," She nodded. "My, the constellations are so clear from up here~ There's Capricornus... ah, there's Canis Major and Minor... and that one is, ah, what is it? Aquila?" She stargazed a lot and certainly read up a lot on the constellations, so some of them were pretty recognizable to her.

"I certainly am," Selene nodded before only just then noticing the sight that they had just passed. "Goodness! Was that a planet?!" It did seem to resemble something that reminded her of a planet close to Earth.
"That did make me think of Mars," She remarked, astonished at having seen that.
Re: It's stargazing time!ihasalumaAugust 26 2009, 00:19:17 UTC
"You thought right." Rosalina said with a laugh. "That is indeed the planet Mars."
It's such a pretty color, a reddish orange that reminds her of fire or her friend Mario. Speaking of Mario, what could he be up to? She haven't seen him in the school for a good while. Perhaps he's busy? That's likely the case; the older Mario brother is a hero after all.
Re: It's stargazing time!crescentpanelsAugust 26 2009, 01:29:27 UTC
"Wow," was all Selene could breathlessly utter out. It was such a lovely sight, and just... gosh, she couldn't believe they had just passed MARS. That was pretty insanely awesome.
"To be this close to the stars and the planets sounds like something out of a dream~" She thought out loud. Gosh, and to think Rosalina could come here whenever she wanted! How lucky was she?
Re: It's stargazing time!ihasalumaAugust 26 2009, 20:08:35 UTC
"Dreams do come true." She replied, referring to Selene's statement. It's no longer fantasy, but a reality for the Fairy Queen to view the stars up close. Maybe one day she'll be able to run an Observatory of her own.
It can happen, if she wants it bad enough; hard work and strong determination can and will get you far. Like the old saying goes: you can do or be anything you wanted to be, as long as you put your mind and heart into it.
Well, it's not the exact saying one may be familiar with, but its meaning is still the same. Rosalina wouldn't be where she is today if she didn't believe in herself.
Re: It's stargazing time!crescentpanelsAugust 26 2009, 20:20:35 UTC
"They sure do," Selene agreed. It really was a reality for her now. She wished she could live amongst the stars just as Rosalina did, just in this very manner. To sleep and eat and laugh and dream under the stars at all times really felt like a dream out of her reach.
Hmm. Maybe she could try one day. Just maybe.
"How long have you lived here?" She asked, curious as to how long Rosalina lived like this in such a heavenly 'island' in the sky.
Re: It's stargazing time!crescentpanelsAugust 27 2009, 12:53:08 UTC
OH BOY OH BOY. That would be the best ever, Rosalina.
However, Rosalina's prediction over Selene's reaction was quite accurate. Her face was quickly painted with an expression of surprise. "Over a century...? My... I never knew anyone could live that long!"
Re: It's stargazing time!ihasalumaAugust 27 2009, 23:21:36 UTC
"I was cursedblessed with longevity." She said before looking back at the stars. "I have a mission to accomplish... for my children. Perhaps then will I be given eternal rest."
Quite a sad and depressing way to see things as they are. Then again, the cards that are handed to you won't always be in your favor.

"They are my adopted children, as they accepted me as their mother." She said with pride in her voice, proud of the fact that she was able to care for and love countless amounts of Lumas. Together they are family, through thick and thin.

"That is very sweet," Selene had to remark, a sweet smile on her face. She did know how it felt to feel a bit motherly in a sense. She felt that way about the younger fairies from back home, such as Sherbet and the others. (Especially Sherbet. Wasn't she one of the youngest fairies who dwelled there alongside her and Lip?)
"Ah, I do wish I had any. The closest I do have to children are my younger friends back home~" She stated. "They are much like friends and family to me all at the same time."

"I believe it is." she responded as the Observatory continue on its travel past the asteroid belt as well as a nerby planet that's light years away.
"I'm glad that you are enjoying yourself.".

"Over a century." Rosalina replied calmly, expecting Selene to be surprised of her age. That's always the case every time she mentioned it to others.
