It had been a long day of classes and Knuckles was doing his best to relax with a good long walk to and from the city. He had a few snacks in his bag and was munching on an apple as his feet crunched through the gravel at the streets edge.
The late afternoon sun felt pretty good and lit the sky up real nice - a perfectly tranquil afternoon. Knuckles sat down under a nearby tree, unshouldering his pack and laying against the trunk. He took another bite of his apple and looked out over the street - was that someone familiar headed his way? hard to tell with the sun shining right into his eyes. He shaded them and peered a little more closely.
