Who: Blacky, students, lurkers
What: Psychology! A kid teaching adults?!
When: Monday evening.
What a day! First Blacky had been able to wake up early enough to watch the sun rise. Then she'd played with dinosaurs, with other kids, and even had a for real Pokemon battle! She was still pretty sore after losing like that. Really tired, too. And she must have peed like 50 times dammit puppyhood. She was going to have to take another nap soon.
After teaching. Even if she was going to skip the whole "still-acting-like-an-adult" thing this time around, she still wanted to do her job.
Anyone coming in to Blacky's classroom would have found it empty... except for a pair of long, brown ears peeking over the top of her desk. After a decent amount of people had filed in, Blacky decided it was time to start. She pushed her chair over to the whiteboard...
Struggled to climb up...
And began to write her topic on the board.
...She wasn't going to have a lot of room to write notes, at the rate. She frowned and capped the marker, plopping down on the chair and spinning it to face the class, swinging her short little legs. "Um..."
She cleared her throat; even though she was trying to make herself heard, she still sounded pretty timid, which was unusual considering her usual sociable charm. "I was gonna do child psychology today because it would make sense, but it's a lot to write and there's no room... So... Let's... have a discussion, okay?
"So let's talk about motivation. Why do we do what we do? Is it for our own happiness? For the happiness of others? Do we really think what we do is right, or has that been programmed into us over the years by the structure of society? The things we avoid - why don't we do those? I wanna hear what you guys think about it. A lot of you are mature adults now so this should be interesting."
Phew. What a mouthful. Just talking was making her feel exhausted. At least the rest would be up to her students.
