Who?: Knuckles and Goombella, and whichever people decide to come along. (Faculty is welcome too!!)
Where?: At the entrance to the lower parts of the school.
When?: Monday afternoon after classes.
What?: Looking for treasure or anything interesting.
Rating: A for ADVENTURE

Vianca had not been bothering with the over head blocks that much. They were a little too high up for her to jump properly to hit, and tapping them with her shovel didn't do much.

Now she was a little bit away from the rest of the group, quietly digging at a seemingly random patch of ground for what appeared to be no reason. And yet the bag next to her feet seemed to be awfully full. Was she collecting rocks? ... No, not really. A surprising amount of the golden coins where just sort of buried in the ground, hidden from the usual person's sight. And there was a big lot of them just under her feet. CLANG. Her shovel hit rock and Vianca frowned.

She turned to go ask Knuckles or someone for help in retrieving the last of them when she paused. There was some sort of shuffling behind her and...

"...!"

That was a really big mole. A really big mole with very stylish sunglasses. He didn't look all that happy.

Knuckles spider-senses tingled nose twitched. A subterranean insectivore the likes of which he had never lay nose upon this way cometh?

He turned to look and noticed the large creature shambling it's way out of the earth towards the poor little loli. He leapt from the blocks on which he stood and glided down toward where she was, hoping to either mediate or intimidate. Either way worked but no-one got Mole'd on his watch.

Vianca looked at Knuckles, taking a little step back as the mole shambled a little closer. "... Do you think we might have committed breaking and entering?" She asked him quietly.

"If we did, it was unknowingly." Knuckles assured her, placing himself firmly between the small girl and the giant mole.

"Hey bub - Nice shades." he said to the mole, stance relaxed but ready to spring in with a well placed punch should this dude decide to get rowdy.

Vianca nodded, peering at the mole.

It seemed quite... well she wasn't sure how it seemed to take the comment about its shades. It possibly looked pleased? Or was that expression one of mild annoyance? (INTENSE ANNOYANCE?) It was honestly really hard to tell. But it got closer. And closer. And closer. And then it was standing nose to nose to Knuckles leaning in uncomfortably close, adjusting its sunglasses menacingly. It opened its mouth and no one could have possibly expected what came from the rodent's raspy voice.

"Would you like some piiiiiiiiieeeeeeeeee?"

Vianca stared. A lot.

What's going on--" Goombella stopped herself. Oh lord, that was a big mole.

Out came the Tattle Log! "Mega Mole: Giant moles that inhabit underground caverns. Common belief is that Mega Moles are simply Monty Moles that have gotten their hands on growth mushrooms. Their thick hides are impervious to most hazards and common attacks. They wear their sunglasses at night."

The mole snuffled in Goombella's direction. "Blessed be, a little know it all!" It rasped. "Would you like some pie?"

"Yoshi want pie!" He barked suddenly.

Then he blinked, and remembered.

"I..I am rather hungry.." Smee muttered, scratching her chin. Her voice was rather unsure, but..she really was hungry, her tummy growling softly.

Vianca continued to stare at the mole, then glanced at her companions. "That... seems very out of the way for pie."

"That's a menacing name for a pie store, bub." Knuckles replied. Was this guy trying to lure them into a trap?

The mole waved a paw. "Naw, that's just what my grandson calls it." He snuffled again, taking his glasses off for a second (dear god where were his eyes) and scratching the top of his head. "He should coming along any time now."
