Time: 5 P.M.
Snake had done something kind of stupid. He had told Samus that the one thing he wanted to do, that he never got to do on off days, is go bungee jumping. Not long after telling her this, he realized he knew nothing about it. Instead of simply looking it up online, he had decided to go check out the library, noting he had never been there for long. He was looking for another book to read anyways.
Snake wandered in, looking at the stack of books set up on a shelf near the entrance.

She approached Snake slowly. "Hey," she said, waving. "Are you looking for something?"
Reply
"Hey, Ms. EVA. I am sort of looking for something, but I'm almost afraid to say it, it's a little absurd. Do you have anything at all on bungee jumping?"
He let out a short chuckle, scratching the back of his head.
"Other than that, I'm looking for anything good, I haven't read a book for pleasure in quite a while."

"Oh, uh..." He looked so much like his father. "Bungee jumping?" The eyepatch was just too weird. "I'm sure we do." They even sounded alike. "I've never seen any, but I'm pretty sure it was just because I've never looked for them before." The way he said her name. "It'll probably be around sports books." EVA inhaled sharply and smiled.
Her heart was beating irregularly fast. She was disappointed in herself.
Reply
"Sorry, does the eyepatch weird you out?"
Reply
"The sports non-fiction is on the second level with the rest of the non-fiction. If you follow me, I'll show you."

He wasn't sure who that someone would be, but she didn't seem like she wanted to talk about it. He followed her up the stairs into the nonfiction section.
"So... how have you been since the war?" Way to be awkward, Snake. But he realized he didn't know much about the librarian, and she seemed nice enough. There certainly was something about her... some kind of draw, but it was far different from the kind of attraction he had to Samus. It was much more... innocent. In a distant cousin or sister sense. A kindred spirit. It was a shame she kept to herself, he was sure they could become friends. But that was really the pot calling the kettle black, as keeping to themselves was a thing they had in common.

Another aisle, EVA glanced into. "Here we are," she said with fake cheer. "I'm not quite sure where to start looking..." she continued, pressing a finger to her lips.

Snake looked around the shelves, scanning the titles, quickly.
"I would imagine it would be with recreational sport type things..."
He chuckled, turning to EVA.
"You know, if there's nothing here, it'll be fine. I'm also looking for a book to read for fun. I haven't read for the sake of read in forever..."
He let his voice trail off.
"You know, I'm sorry. I didn't realize how late this was. I can try and come back tomorrow morning or something. You're probably looking to close..."

By then, EVA had warmed up to talking to Snake. There was still that nagging in the back of her mind to tell him everything she wanted to say, but she was able to hold back.
"Something fun to read? Well, that all depends on what kind of book you like," she said, smiling a little more warmly.
