I'm a butterfly, a butterfly.
I'm just a butterfly.
Mostly to herself, of course, but she was humming all the same. It wasn't a song she'd heard over the radio or anything like that. It was just some sort of nonchalant sound as though her mind had traveled in an entirely different direction than her body.
These wings of mine; take a peek.
They'll carry me far away.
Oftentimes, lack of observance liked to show itself in silly little ways. Some people tripped over their own feet. Some people brushed pillars and other stupid little things. Some people fell over potted plants. Either way, any grace that might have been present before commonly disappeared and left behind the vessel it'd been previously attached to. Or maybe it left intentionally.
Lift me up, embrace me close.
Up toward the blue sky.
Voile was no exception. It was a sudden collision that tugged on her preoccupied thoughts. Maybe nothing more than her shoulder into an arm. Or a chest. Or something. She didn't know, but it was enough to send her off kilter. She brought up a hand and dainty fingers grasped at the closest thing to keep herself onto her feet. Her chin lifted and she found the bottom of a chin and above that, well-sculpted features on a boy.
Oh, let me land, onto the grass.
For only a moment, I want to stay.
And glasses. She blinked in temporary fascination. Glasses? Really?

"Uuuum.... he began, unsure of what to say. "H-hello?"

She stiffened for just a moment and then withdrew. Catching some form of composure all over again, her hands lowered and she brushed herself off.
"I'm sorry," she began. "I wasn't paying attention."
I suppose, she inwardly groaned.
"Are you all right?"

"What about you?"
Reply
"I am sorry," she reiterated as she tipped her head to the side, as though she felt he was not convinced.

"N-no don't be sorry," he said, shaking his head... "I should have been more careful." He offered her a hand. It was a really big effort from him, really! "Are you a student here as well?" Subject change. Like a true pro (except not really).
