Jogging
It was the same route every morning through Central Park. Alex wondered to herself why she never got a change of scenery. But something about the park at this hour was always so peaceful, so quiet. And she was definitely one for routine. Still, that didn’t stop her from changing it, even if it was just the slightest. She veered a little off her usual path, down another route until another jogger fell in step with her. She heard the steady breathing and she flashed Olivia a smile as they continued on with the first day of their new routine.
Vulnerable
Olivia hated letting anyone see past the barriers she put in place. In fact, if people got close, she pushed them away. It usually took someone a while before they could read her well enough to even see the barriers. But then Alex had come along and before she knew it, Olivia felt like her entire life was on display. One look from those blue eyes made her feel like an open book. And for the first time in her life, Olivia didn’t care because Alex only turned the pages if Olivia was ready. For Alex, she’d always be ready.
