*Aflac* ... *Tail wag*... hehe...

That was amusing... My brother volunteers at Ramps.. and some days they call him to pick up animals. Well, this one lady that he picked up a mockingbird from before somehow managed to get our home number. She called and asked him to pick up a duck. Trouble was, it's a domesticated duck and as such, Ramps will not take care of it (only wild animals). She couldn't pay a vet bill, so my Mom just said she would pay for it to take it in to see Dr. P. Deb told me that my Mom was in a room, so I got worried because I was afraid Pris had had another stroke/heart attack/seizure/everything else she has, so I was relieved to see her in the room with a duck. It was so cute. Beautiful cream colored peking duck. So adorable. It looked just like the Aflac duck. It had a dog bite, so we had it back on the prep table cleaning it up, and Dr. P discovered that if you shook his tail feathers a little bit, he would waggle his butt. Oh my goodness it was hilarious. And then Deb was holding his head and saying Aflac to everyone that passed. So great. I would really like to keep him, but Mom doesn't think you can litter train a duck. Hah. She said we could if we could do it though. I can just imagine the cats following it around as it waddles through the house. Hahaha. She said as they were driving to the vets, he was in the back seat just quacking away. He is really personable too... Lets you hug and pet him and is very friendly. Anyone need a duck? Hehe... seriously...
Other than that, continue to work full time at the vets. I really enjoy it, but I also need my rest in order to function at full capacity. As a result of this, I haven't been able to be online as much and I'm way behind on my lj's. Hah. Got a couple hundred back today and decided that was enough. It's alright though.
One last thing. As everyone gets more and more excited about school, I become more and more agitated and dismayed. I have done so little shopping for school, and practicing for drumline, and I feel all in all unprepared. Grr. I feel way behind the power curve, and I know that's because I'm working all the time and I just haven't had the chance to really do all of that. Luckily, I have a week off before I actually go to school, so maybe I can get some of that done. Blah blah blah. Just crap. Always too much to do, but that's my life. Hope everything is good for everybody else.. I'm kind of out of touch. Anyway, ciao.
